GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) The United States must acknowledge a "painful, complicated" history of racial discrimination that still affects many minorities, Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio said Monday between campaign speeches in South Carolina.
Rubio told reporters that "decades and decades of discriminatory practices" have yielded a lack of economic opportunity for many minorities and sour relationships between law enforcement and minority communities, particularly African-Americans.
"It's important for us to confront these issues because we can't fulfill our promise as a nation if we have a significant percentage of the population feeling as if the American dream is out of reach for them, that they're somehow locked out of the promise of America," Rubio said after addressing South Carolina's Upstate Chamber Coalition.

Good gawd....I’m soooooooo sick of the pandering.
I have red hair and am short. I was bullied. My life sucked as a kid. I had an alcohic father, violence in the home, father comitted suicide, and a wayward brother.....who later took the family business...my mother’s income and our inheritance.....and ran it into the ground because of his spending addiction. I’m now stuck (not that I mind) taking care of my ageing parents (step-dad, now) on my own with hardly ANY money. My marriage sucks.
Do I REALLY CARE about this crap as THIS time in my existence?
No.
But, I suffer from ‘white privilege’......or so I’m told.
Good evening.
Good-bye, Rubio. There are too many credible candidates in this primary season to hold the nose and vote for another America-bashing compassionate conservative. I’ve crossed you off my list.
FUMR
Nice
Thank you for sharing, Marco. Idiot.
He’s not a smart guy. His education is not up to speed.
He’s capitalizing on his hispanicness as he waves around the Americans are all racist flag
He’s desperate.
They wanted him to sep up to running against bo last race
He said no he had too many things he wanted to do first
What does he care about the country. What does he know about our history!
Does he know that most wire high school seniors face ridiculous anti shite discrimination against them? That all the scholarships and grants go to everyone but them because they own and mistreat slaves?
And that the Mexicans are capitalizing on that when single mothers in many states can’t get jobs because they hate Latinos?
What more payback do these expletives want than forcing Americans to hate themselves???
Marco Rubio is nothing but a long winded little water swilling America hater with a bad combover. He should’ve stepped up when he had the chance for his own sake.
Wire and shite translated auto from ‘white’
FUMR just switch to D now you asshat.
So are Hannity and Rush going to continue to fawn over Marco after this gem?
“Irish need not apply”.
+1
He’s a dickweed.
It’s gingervitis.
(Ducking and running away...)
I’m so white I’m transparent and used to have reddish hair.
Not a good combo in the hood....
Of course it does, every country has had these problems at one time or another in their history. The difference is a segment of the US seems to want to focus on it and agonize over it endlessly. Looks like we can see where Rubio stands on it.
Or areas that were characterized as Irish, Polish, Italian, ... where all of the children went to school and learned English and "played" outside free of fear.
Hey Rubio. Ever heard the expression “No Irish need apply”? Do you know what a “Paddy Wagon” is?
All new comers experience discrimination. Unlike certIn minorities most don’t whine about it for centuries
So sick of this race B.S. No white person alive today was a slave owner. Can we please move on?
Quite a difference between Marco’s view of
America and Ted Cruz’ father. Both Cruzes, father and son, recognize the wonders of America. Truthfully, I am shocked at the ungrateful Mr. Rubio.
The more this punk says the less i care for his sorry ass.
