LONDON (Reuters) - With his distressed hairstyle, voluptuous female companions and love of the media spotlight, U.S. tycoon Donald Trump is no stranger to people on this side of the Atlantic.

But his bid to become president of the United States has got people scratching their heads.

Seen by many as a kind of cartoon character despite his business successes, "The Donald" has baffled and angered in equal measure with a series of controversial comments.

His remarks that many Mexican immigrants were rapists were widely reported in Europe and generally considered beyond the pale.

Well, gee, they all went GaGa over Barry, and look how well that’s worked out for them.

Pent up Conservative anger has blown the lid off the pressure cooker and the steam is scalding the media and the entire political Uni-party Establishment.

Since Obama has castrated and de-emphasized the US's role in global affairs why should it matter to Europeans who's running for president. They can't claim that we have much of an impact on their lives anymore.

They should stop nosing around in American political matters and concern themselves with being more welcoming to muslim immigrants.

Read and article about what upsets euros when they visit. The stores are air conditioned and they get cold when it’s 90 out.

Just so.

I recall the Euros having the same attitude about Reagan when their only source of information came from US print media. Pre-internet.

Of course the KGB Disinformation Bureau. worked mightily to foster that distorted image, with pay offs just as I.F. Stone was on their payroll.

I wish that were so. So does Rand Paul and Pat Buchanan. So minding the home front is not a liberal thing. Hillary Clinton and Samantha Power are both flaming libs, and both were disgustingly hawkish when it served their purpose (or Obama’s purpose) to be so. Remember, we’re a republic, not an empire.

IF the Eurotrash don't like him that's almost reason enough for me to vote for him. LOL

Before anyone decides to "flame" me please note I said "almost"!

We should shock Europe by suspending all elections for 4-5 yrs and putting a military led administration into place with an agenda of prosecuting and WINNING the war against radical islam , worldwide . With an ‘appointed’ civilian administration of proven USA loyalty and patriotism set up to handle civilian affairs and domestic departments . Our borders would be sealed to ALL illegal immigration and the Constitution would be amended to reflect that islam is a cult not a religion and that cults are not subject to protections under the 1st Amendment , and then the cult would be dealt with accordingly .

Because the prime ministers of Italy and France are always such solid wise upstanding politicians .... ?

and eurojerks can talk down to us about illegal Mexican invaders when you fix the mess at Calais and in Southern Italy - or maybe we should use your solution and pass our illegal invaders straight to Canada on trucks and high speed trains

Then if anything, Europeans should support constitutionalist candidates in American elections, who know they’re answerable to the people, instead of the socialist/statists they always tend to gravitate towards.

If any of the idiots around the world took 30 minutes reading something than their leftist sources they might not have to be “flabbergasted” any longer. Dumb asses.

That is indeed a paradox. Maybe we’ve overprotected them so much, that they’re spoiled, and can’t look after their own defense. They can’t keep the training wheels on forever.

And the loved Hussen. I see a pattern here-they love whoever weakens and derides the US. So why should any American care what they think?

This is the continent that gave us Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin, not to mention Berlusconi and his bunga-bunga parties. I don’t think they are in any position to criticize.

Would this be the same Europe that polled so heavily in favor of Obama during his 2008 campaign?

I thought so.
