LONDON (Reuters) - With his distressed hairstyle, voluptuous female companions and love of the media spotlight, U.S. tycoon Donald Trump is no stranger to people on this side of the Atlantic.
But his bid to become president of the United States has got people scratching their heads.
Seen by many as a kind of cartoon character despite his business successes, "The Donald" has baffled and angered in equal measure with a series of controversial comments.
His remarks that many Mexican immigrants were rapists were widely reported in Europe and generally considered beyond the pale.

Seems even the European Media-State complex is discombobulated.

Europeans rightly scoff at our electoral system as a giant clusterfudge. But as for Trump, who cares what they think.

Did the Prime Minister of Italy who did the Bunga Bunga draw scorn as well?

The media in Europe is way more Marxist than in the U.S., if you can believe it. 1984 was a documentary.

Yeah, because Greece, massive Islamic immigration, two world wars, high unemployment and the Balkans aside, they’re a model of efficiency.

Does no one over there have the courage to point out — that their Muslim immigrants are rapists?

Maybe we should send the Mexican rapists to them and see how they like it? Does it occur to them to look at the crime statistics? Is Trump, and America, supposed to be silent in the face of rapists, murderers, drunk drivers, drug dealers, and gang members flooding into our country?
The world is truly losing its mind.

Not really a Trump fan, but note to Europe: Most of us are HERE because we, or our ancestors, no longer wanted to be THERE.

I pity them, they have no idea what sort of can of whoop a$$ they are opening up by continuing to belittle Trump. It just makes him even more likable to more people when the press continues to tell us lies.

Greece is an economic train wreck, but it’s not their electoral system that’s to blame. And I don’t think Greece is plagued by serious Moslem immigration. As for the World Wars and Balkan unrest, that’s not their fault. Germany, Russia and Turkey all have their historical hands in that.

Europeans have done such a great job of picking national leaders, haven't they? They even thought ObaMao was so great, they awarded him a Nobel Peace prize before he even got a good start on dragging America down to the European level.
