PPP's newest Illinois poll finds that Mark Kirk's popularity is plummeting, and he trails Tammy Duckwo rth in a hypothetical match up. Kirk was already struggling when we last polled the state in February- only 28% of voters approved of the job he was doing to 32% w ho disapproved. After getting involved in a series of controversies over the last five months his numbers have turned even more in the wrong direction- now only 25% approve of him with his disapproval spiking up to 42%.

PPP Poll - This time a Push Poll - D 45 I 30 R 25
I know we are behind in Illinois but a 20 point D oversample stretches credulity. Presidential matchups are included. Clinton 48 Bush 39, Clinton 50 Walker 39, Clinton 51 Trump 33, and others...

Good! Kirk needs to go, and take the rest of the backstabbing GOP-E apparatchiks with him.

Kinda looks to e like the voters in Illinois just may prefer a real Democrat over a Democrat-Lite Republican.
Mark Kirk's conservative rating is probably closer to Barack Obama than to Ted Cruz or even John McCain..

I believe Kirk’s was higher than either Mississippi Senator, Cochran or Wicker, several months ago. It could still be really bad.

Kirk is one of the leaders in the opposition to the Iranian agreement, which began with the Kirk-Menendez bill in 2013.
But then some say that Kirk and Menendez took that route because they both knew that had re-election problems and would need oodles of Israeli Lobby money

Kirk is one of the worst RINOS in the Senate. He has no redeeming value as a politician whatsoever. The sooner he’s booted out of office the better!

Wait, how could this be? I thought Walker was fading and Trump was surging?

Trump is surging. Walker is the only on to beat him in any poll, and those are in Iowa and Illinois. Right next to Wisconsin

PPP Poll is pretty much the gold standard and has been for a good number of cycles.
BUT ... we know we’re going to lose Illinois because the Dims will turn out to vote.

Duckworth is a “Godless Prog democrat” let’s see how she votes on defunding Planned parenthood

This is typical of the GOP types elected in the last landslide. After winning on this tsunami, they quickly turned GOPe and voted party line.

Trump is surging. Walker is the only on to beat him in any poll, and those are in Iowa and Illinois. Right next to Wisconsin I am a staunch Walker supporter but I would back Trump in a poll because I like and enjoy his style. He will never be the nominee, Walker will, but Trump is entertaining.
