A federal judge rebuked the Obama administration’s IRS Wednesday for refusing to divulge documents, including Lois G. Lerner emails, and warned he would hold those who break his orders in contempt.
Judge Emmet G. Sullivan called the administration’s defense “nonsensical” and said the IRS must release documents every Monday to Judicial Watch, a conservative public interest law firm that requested the documents under open-records laws, and then sued after the IRS didn’t comply.
“Officers of the court who fail to comply with court orders will be held in contempt,” Judge Sullivan said in a published order.
On July 1, at a hearing, he had ordered the IRS to turn over documents weekly. But after the hearing was over, the IRS approached Judicial Watch and proposed a new schedule. Judicial Watch said it would accept the new schedule, but wanted the IRS to make it official with the court — something the IRS refused to do.
Judge Sullivan was not pleased, noting that the government lawyers had agreed his initial instructions were clear, but violated them anyway.

Don’t just threaten, just do it!! These people only respect brute and direct force. You’re not going to make them feel guilty, because they have to already be amoral to become in insider with Obama’s group. Think about Sebelius, Lois Lerner, etc, etc.

The IRS trying to get the release schedule out of the judge's hands, and into an informal arrangement with JW... so that eventually, they'd tell JW to go pound sand, which they cannot do and get away with via the court.
There are a lot of threats for contempt but zero action. Put these people in jail and then maybe they will sing the truth that the orders to attack conservatives came directly from BO himself and some establishment republicans. Send them all to jail, otherwise, this will never stop.
You’re right on. Bureaucrats flaunt the law because they think they’re above it and it’s especially bad in this 0bama administration, they’re doing his bidding.

Why hold the lawyers in contempt? They are not the ones giving the orders, nor do they have the authority to countermand anything the President orders.

Exactly. As long as they release ONE document every Monday they can string this out for several thousand years. Just like Hillary’s emails. Release a few every month? LOL
