Somewhere, looking down, Barbara Olson must be smiling and laughing. In “Hell to Pay”, she wrote a very disturbing portrait of how things like the White House staff firings, Filegate, Travelgate, and all sorts of other related nonsense basically all came back to Hillary as the ringleader.
Someday, Monica Lewinsky will realize that she is alive solely because of Linda Tripp and the advice to save the blue dress.
The Clinton machine tried to destroy Linda Tripp for that. She told the truth and it cost her greatly.
1998 showed us how flawed America really was—we were not the people we thought e were.
68% said regardless of the proof of a law-breaking President, it was not enough to impeach and remove from office.
1999 showed us the fix was in, when the gutless Republican and Communist Dems would not fully try and remove a lawless President from office.
It has been downhill ever since.
The Clinton machine and the Clinton kneepad wearing press joined together to absolutely destroy Linda Tripp.
But she did not buckle under to them.
Her friends abandoned her and what should have been natural political allies abandoned her as well.
She was made a pariah, an example to the world of what happens when you dare to tell the truth about the Clintons.
She was right then, and she is right now.
And Hillary Clinton needs to be in a jail cell for her many crimes.
What if, instead of sending her recorded Lewinsky conversations to Ken Starr, Linda Tripp had instead secretly offered them for sale, say, to the Chinese government? Or to the Russians? Or even to agents of Saddam?
What kind of blackmail leverage would those tapes have provided to a foreign government in dealing with America on sensitive trade, security or military issues? One of the few things Clinton ever said that I believe is that he would have done anything to keep the Lewinsky affair secret. Given his demonstrated track record of selling out American interests for personal or political gain (there are many examples that I could cite), how far would he have gone in compromising America’s real interests in order to protect his own neck when threatened with blackmail?
Pretty far, I believe. Equally distressing is the prospect Clinton might, in fact, have succumbed to foreign black mail on other occasions in order to hide different sexual episodes that ultimately did not become public.
This is a non-story. Nothing new here.

Also, she was the one Vince Foster shared his m&ms with after his last lunch in the White House, just as he was on his way out the door to a “meeting,” after which he was found deep in muddy Ft. Marcy Park, dead, with not a speck of dirt on the soles of his shoes. When I commit suicide, I too want to make sure it’s after a cafeteria lunch, so I’m not too hungry. And I will definitely pick up some m&ms by the register, because, dammit, I love them. But then I won’t finish them, because I don’t have time - I’m a bit late to my own suicide so I give the rest my secretary. I need to keep my schedule tight, who knows what I will need to get done after I am dead?
