This is the moment a Colorado cop knocked out a woman's teeth while she was handcuffed in a hospital.
Newly released video shows a Colorado Springs police officer grabbing an 18-year-old girl out of her seat and slamming her face-down into the ground during a November 2013 arrest that resulted in her losing two of her front teeth.
The footage was obtained by the Colorado Springs Independent amid an ongoing civil lawsuit being pursued by the teen, Alexis Acker.

Her behavior was disrespectful and belligerent, but did it justify that kind of reaction?

Would be interesting to learn if these events result in her getting control of her mouth.
Not commenting on the use of force....just noting it looks like they are actually in the jailmm..maybe the nurse/infirmary area?
Bootlickers showing up to claim she was not compliant and brought it on herself in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...
To a worthless scumbag, clearly not deserving of any respect.
and belligerent
which is not a crime.
Memorial Hospital
What was the female doing in the hospital?
Don't know the circumstaces but this was totally uncalled for, violent assault of a handcuffed woman.
Any response to an attack must be proportional to the attack. If the girl was not handcuffed, overwhelming force might be justified. But the girl was handcuffed. Her threat to the cop was minimal, and so required a measured response from the cop. And that's not what happened here.
Oh, and one more thing. It is immaterial whether or not the girl was mouthing off.
She got what she asked for. I would have given her a left jab to the nose and bounced her head off the wall. Then let her fall on the floor.
I’d like to be on the jury that gives this young woman a big chunk of Colo Springs city budget. And gives the cop a year in the pokey.
I have no details on the matter. I only watched the short vid.
A guess: she could be a possible DUI/DWI to draw blood.
I own a home in Colorado Springs, and will be paying for this mess along with everyone else through taxes.
The police officer deserves to be fired.
She should have an assault charge, but whether she gets it or not, is about to become a very rich woman.
No she didn't.
Wanted to add that a police officer was arrested tonight in Colorado Springs. One of the charges if false reporting.

I own a home there and would give her what she asked for.
I don’t dislike the police and generally, the ones here are pretty professional, but if I’d be arrested and sued for what he did, so should he.
She was at the hospital for an IV BAC test, which means she refused a breathalyser. What happened before the video is anyone’s guess but I have to consider that she was an obnoxious, belligerent drunk from the beginning.
The officer told her to sit down, which she didn’t. Then he pusher her into the chair. She then proceeded to kick him in the balls. From there, I will leave it to all of you how polite would you be. We’ve all encountered people we would love to slap the feces out of. How did she act before? How taunting had she been? What is the cop’s complaint ratio?
Cops are getting sued all over for questionable offense to a perpetrators dignity. Good? Bad? I don’t know, but I think civility is at a dangerous low.
I want to slap lots of people, but I don’t, because I’d go to jail, maybe prison.
What you’re saying is, effectively, that she “disrespected” the cop and he knocked her teeth out.
Being “disrespected” and taking physical revenge is what gang members do.
I expect more from officers of the law than behaving like law breaking street thugs. Its a shame you don’t.
