I hope Trumps MSNBC interview doesnt surprise too many people: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump took a softer stance [on] immigration during a television interview Friday, saying he believes in a merit system for undocumented immigrants already living in the U.S.
During Fridays interview, Trump said the U.S. should take a two-step approach to the 11 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the country. Wouldnt it be nice if there really were only 11 million? The actual number is probably at least three times that high and rocketing upward every moment. Meanwhile, we cant find even a loose cannon, ostensibly anti-establishment candidate who wants to enforce immigration law.

It’s his history, not what this article is saying that I’m posting concern about. I don’t want to see a Chameleon dressed as a Tiger playing leader of the Free World in the WH manipulating the World for his personal gain. We had that with the Clinton’s.
Just read the thread or watch the interview yourself. You seem more than willing to jump on disinformation from people accusing Trump of supporting amnesty. Why not listen to him directly and hear what he says.
So what is your inference of streamlined or havent you heard that before?
We dont need it streamlined, we need laws enforced without irrelevant qualifications.
Lets rehash Trump:
Trump build a wall and have effective border control.
Trump wants to go hard after hardened illegal criminals.
Trump send all back and only come back through legal control channels.
So where’s the GrOP-E on illegal immigration in comparison?
On Hannity, Trump spoke very clearly about this. Send them back to country of origin and have them apply for legal immigration.
So, what the folks on moon-battery say Trump said? Or what I heard Trump say?
The process as it is now is very complicated and arduous. Over the years more layers of bureaucracy have been added to the point it takes years. A simpler process would be beneficial to all immigrants.
NO HE DIDN”T!!!
Whoever wrote this piece is a liar.
Here’s the interview, with amnesty brought up a little over 11 minutes in:
And yes, Trump is advocating amnesty. It’s an old GOPe trick that was pitched a few years ago that if somehow illegals go home and visit their families they can get an expedited waving of a magical wand that makes them legal.
That’s amnesty and it will lead to more Leftist voters in this country than we’ll ever be able to recover from.
Assuming Trumpnado gets elected, he will be sat down, as they all are, and counseled how it's going to be. Today's presidents are only figureheads who do as they're told. Big business runs governments. Wish it wasn't so but it is.
No he doesn’t...
Tonight on FOXNEWS he said deport all the criminals don’t let them come back ever...
all the rest have to go home to their own countries and then they can apply from there to come here legally..the right way..
if they were here for years and worked and didn’t commit further crimes they could be processed faster but they all have to go,,,
that’s not AMNESTY...
Oh, be kind.
QT's boss at the RNC still has the vapors and hasn't put the new attack angle out yet.
about the number 11 Million, Trump said there were more than that...
No, I saw the Hannity interview and Trump is light years ahead of the GOPE on border and immigration security.
Keep telling yourself that.
And that's exactly have you gotten for 30+ years. In fact we are losing in everything.
Why do you think Trump is razing these frauds and getting so much support?
I don’t have to. Trump is saying it, and the GOPE has a history of pulling the funding on border fences.
A reporter asked, "Mr. Trump, what would you do with the 11 million undocument immigrants who are already here?" "The first thing we have to do is strengthen our borders," Trump started. The reporter interrupted, "But after that -- after that." "And after that we're going to have plenty of time to talk about it," Trump said, failing to answer the question and then hastily ending his press conference. "Thank you very much. Thank you everybody."
Good, good I am glad to hear that, and I did not know that.
Sarah Palin is a good woman, and she knows first hand the back stabbing and treacherous nature of the GOP.
One thing is for sure, i think Trump has illustrated quite clearly that that Americans are not interested in what the GOPE is peddling anymore.
However this election ends up, I have had enough of the GOP.
But he said the country should take a different approach with "the other ones" i.e., undocumented immigrants who are already in the country who have "done a good job." "I'm a very big believer in merit system," Trump said. "I have to tell you ... some of these people have been here, they've done a good job. You know, in some cases, sadly, they've been living under the shadows, etc., etc. We have to do something. So whether it's merit or whether it's whatever, but I'm a believer in the merit system. If somebody's been outstanding, we try and work something out.
