CNN/ORC poll: Trump elbows his way to the top

(CNN)In the first national telephone poll since Donald Trump earned rebukes from Republican leaders over his comments about Senator John McCain's military service, the real estate mogul has increased his support among GOP voters and now stands atop the race for the party's nomination.

The new CNN/ORC Poll finds Trump at 18% support among Republicans, with former Florida governor Jeb Bush just behind at 15%, within the poll's margin of error.

They are joined at the top of the pack by Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, with 10% support among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents who are registered to vote. Trump's backing has climbed 6 points since a late-June poll, while support for Bush and Walker has not changed significantly.

I don’t have look any of them up I know where Trump stands on each of them. You aren’t helping the conservative cause by your disinformation on one of the only two fighting against the GOPe leaders. If we end up with Jeb (which means President Hilliary) you will have helped in making that happen. But maybe that is your intent anyway.

his is all a dog & pony show - political Kabuki theater ...The GOPe will play this game up to the very end of the primaries - which they will fix accordingly, just as the dem-o-sluts do, via open primaries ... That is when, “all of a sudden” (surprise) JB - who was “within the margin of error on all our polls” - then becomes the GOPe nominee.

Mark my words - TPTB will NEVER EVER allow Donald Trump to be on the Republican ballot for the presidency.

Trump will go Third Party; and the Republicans, with their pansie-assed, seditious, Mexican-loving boy-toy - Jeb Bush, will loose by a historic landslide, yet again.

America will get 8 years of Hildabeast - Obama on steroids ...

And then we may all kiss this country goodbye forever.

I am afraid you are going to be right. Too many conservatives forget to add into the equation the most important factor. Can he actually win? Trump is the only one who can win in my opinion but it will take overwhelming support for trump to keep Jeb out.

Here’s my “little” wish list. There are more but why make eyes blur over?

-Laws should enhance freedom for the citizenry.
-A media that encourages instead of discouraging morality. End the Kardashian mentality that corrupts society.
-Promotion and pride in our European legacy culture instead of demonizing it
-Gun rights in perpetuity
-War but only to defend the USA and its borders
-No war ever to defend countries unless they have a century long record of defending the USA, and never attacking or spying on the USA
-An end to the outrageous double standard and muzzle used by the media, that they absurdly call political correctness
-Crony capitalism should be a crime against the people and those found guilty imprisoned for 20 years.
-Term limits - as the longer they are in office the more corrupt they become
-Policies that encourage morality
-End all money in politics and depend upon citizen volunteers to spread the message instead of a corrupt media.
-Total searchable transparency of every dollar that that the government spends, from corporate welfare to disability to food stamps
- Healthcare costs are readily and fully advertised at every physician office and hospital and every drug advertised.
- Trade policies enacted only if they benefit USA citizens, not banks and global corporations
- Quit meddling in other countries and restore the USA.
- No lobbying ever by Congress or staff, and no exclusions of laws and regs for members of Congress
- An index that measures the median income of USA citizens. It needs to be correlated to Congressional pay.
