What would be the effect on the election if Black Lives Matter seriously disrupted the Republican convention?

That’s rather what the gop should expect for holding its convention in that crap hole.

Probably to the detriment of the Democrats, similar to the effect that the left-wing demonstrations had on the Democratic Party in 1968. The general public would think:
1. Are these people representative of the Democratic Party? If so, I don't like it. These people are irrational and dangerous.
2. It is deeply un-American to try to shut down a political convention.
3. It is deeply unfair to hold Republicans responsible for incidents which mostly occurred in Democratically-controlled cities.

Remember how well the anti-war crowd’s disruption worked in Chicago back in ‘68? I would imagine similar results in ‘15.
