While his favorability rating took a hit, a new poll shows that Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trumps comments about Senator Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)s war record are not the silver bullet many in the GOP and media hoped. A YouGov poll taken after Trumps ill-considered remarks show his support among Republican voters has surged by double digits and well-ahead of Scott Walker and Jeb Bush, his two closest competitors.
During the week of July 4-6, Trump was in first place, with 15% choosing the billionaire businessman over the rest of the field. Bush sat at 11%, which tied with Kentucky Senator Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY).
The latest poll was taken between the 18th and 20th. Two of those days occurred after Trumps McCain comments. Regardless, Trump not only held on to first place, he surged to 28% support. Bush came in second with just 14%. Walker came in third with 13%.
Trump is not only in first place, he earns twice the support of second place.
The GOP and the media have done everything in their power to destroy Trump. Hes not only gotten strong, but he is becoming a much better candidate.

Only a snob would underestimate such a man. And now those snobs have cream pie all over their smug faces.

And Bush bought it. Just like Bush and the Republicans aided and abetted lawless violent borders.
Got it. Interesting info.
McDork’s real talent was destroying American aircraft.
“Trumps up to 28%. Linda is down to 0%. And McCain is just a Zero,
not hero. Oh my.”
Cleverly put. Nice wordsmithing.
“We seem to be entering the Year of The Donald.”
Bingo.
Hundreds of independent first person reports. Sightings of aerial messages. Receipt of secret codes given to aviators.
When the French evacuated Vietnam many French military prisoners were left behind. Later the Vietnamese demanded ransom. The French paid ransom for their men. Our country wouldn't pay ransom.
Many of our senior military believe to this day that we left men behind.
McCain and Kerry were chosen to lead the committee to investigate men left behind. Perfect patsies.

Trump has HUGE pop culture notoriety.
It’s all Obama has left. (Hillary has next to none.)
The MSM is telling the masses to hate him.
Good publicity or bad publicity...Trump gains traction and the meme’s of the media fall away. Say what you will, they know their audience and their audience is morons/dimwits...they’’be carefully cultivated that.
They are telling the audience to hate Trump, but they can’t not risk NOT covering him...so his message prevails.
Anecdotally, there is a flaming liberal at my work, all she talks about it Trump, everything is “he’s a racist”...I confronted her flat out...the stats support him. “What does it mean to call someone racist, when the facts support him?”
(Nothin)
“When it comes to The Donald, should he stay or should he go? If he should stay, a LOT of realignment of thought and priorities is in order,..”
Would you please specify what you by ‘realignments of thought and priorities’?
Yes, it wouldn’t have happened under the Democrats because they specifically controlled it to screw the Republicans.
Trump may “gaffe” his way to the White House!
It’s so much more than that. McCain represents everything the average voter despises and now like Rev. Wright said “The chickens are coming home to roost”!
The republicans had a choice after this last election, either come home to their base or snuggle up to the dems, they chose the dems, and are now going to pay for their treachery.
It’s taken too long but now the time has come for them to get theirs.
I want to add that this nomination is going to the convention . All these candidates will be favorite son’s and will hit and miss here and there. DT will be winning many states with “winner take” all . The establishment is in chaos. But noone will emerge with enough delegates.
Now, most of you are too young to remember “open” conventions. That is where delegates get rich on bribes. DT will fly in on his 757 and will win that fight!!! We have a new candidate. I have already predicted that soon he will announce that if he is President he will prosecute hillary for her criminal activity. I now predict he will prosecute her staff and attorneys for aiding and abetting. That would include Humma Wiener.
This is a political tsunami like I have never seen. The band wagon is now rolling down hill fast,
very nice word smith. Notice my tag line.
"The GOP has NO idea how angry "we the people" are; how sick we are of PC; how much we want our country back and how we'll elect anyone who stands up for American values."
Well said. . for all of us.
