At ABCs The Note, Rick Klein writes:
We can only speculate about what kinds of props or insults Donald Trump is bringing with him to the Texas-Mexico border today. But the new ABC News/Washington Post poll out Thursday suggests the extent to which he may not need them. Roughly half of Republicans in the poll oppose a path to legalization for undocumented immigrants and Trump gets support from a third of those voters.
Think about that: In a 16-person field, the idea that any candidate could get 34 percent of that large a slice of potential voters suggests an extraordinarily powerful issue.

“which he said very emphatically that the American Public doesn’t trust the media.”

A good percentage of the American people doesn’t trust politicians either.

I’m going to load up on Popcorn for the debate!
I’m certain most of the partipants in the debate are loading up on depends.
“Having worked on this issue as a grassroots lobbyist for 8 years, you are wrong about the votes issue. They want amnesty to make the issue go away just like they are happy with the SCOTUS decision on gay marriage and have no problem with Roe versus Wade.”
Republican scum/Democrat scum. As you say corporate owns both parties.
That is a great question. If you find out the answer, I would like to know why.
But mu guess is, they are fooled into thinking democrat party is more inclusive, while republicans are a party of WASPs. Just my WAG.
It's a marvel to me as well. You'd think the political genes would kick in and a few of 'em at least would think, "Hey! He's hit a nerve! I'll say that too!"
Then again, the current lot of GOP-e wannabe presidents might be so neutered that they just can't bring themselves to make those nasty, but truthful, statements.
My only question here is ABC’s definition of “right side”

The Cheap Labor Express has the most candidates in this field by far than in previous elections.

Not sure about Jindal and Walker has raised many suspicions in me.
Only Cruz, Trump and Santorum seem to be on the side of the citizens.
Roughly half? Uh huh ....
Priebus was his RNC boy in Wisconsin! Walker is the DC establishment but sneaky about it.
Yes, I remember Mississippi. Walker hiring Brad Dayspring put up huge red flags for me.
Because that is not what their $ donors want or the Marxist uniparty and media.
The reason we have such a utterly corrupt RNC that pulls crap like sabotaging Ken C in the Va Gov race or the MS senate race is Priebus is a Billionaire slave labor promoter and his close buddy who got him the job was Walker !
They want amnesty to make the issue go away just like they are happy with the SCOTUS decision on gay marriage and have no problem with Roe versus Wade.
Exactly right. This is how you deal with a prickly issue when you are a politician, especially a (R)epublicrat. It is truly in their party DNA to compromise or outright surrender issues to get them off the table. It really is in all eras right back to the beginning with reconstruction, temperance, income tax, prohibition, communism and then it increases exponentially in the 1960's until today.
The (R)epublicrats are not the so-called loyal opposition, they are and have always been the token opposition. Never has this been made clearer than this current 114th Congress, followed closely by the 112th. Recall the 104th Gingrich revolution as their first time in majority for 40+ years. At least they actively fought and were only brought down by the media and palace intrigue. But they were firmly in charge.
The amazing thing is that these successive terms: 104th, 112th, 114th had increasingly dominant majorities but decreasing fighter instinct, thus ... increasing majorities = increasing failure. It's some kind of new math they use.
These spineless, slithering, snake-in-the-grass, pathetic losers like Rove, Ryan, McCarthy, McConnell and Boner ( not nearly strong enough words when the d*mn country is at stake ) must be removed. Curiously, I haven't seen their names popping up in the Trump Derangement chorus. For some reason that worries me.
They vote for the party that gives them the most. That just happens to be the amnesty party.
That has changed dramatically---no one could have predicted the nation would rally around Trump ON THIS ONE ISSUE ALONE.
The political buzz is Trump can say anything he wants no matter how un-PC (about McCain, for example)...JUST AS LONG as he keeps up the talk about border dangers.
It's more than effective that billionaire Trump has become the USA's biggest cheerleader, and is now the face of Everyman.
