I haven’t given to United Way since I found out the local head of UW was drawing a $350,000/yr paycheck. And that was 20 years ago. I’m sure it’s up over half a million by now.

Told them to stop taking money out of my check circa 1985 when they started to support the gay alliance. Found out about the wages as my mom attended their meetings for a while.
I was also a union scab. One brave girl back then.
