Joe Arpaio Renews Obama Birther Claims, Repeatedly Snaps at Tapper in Bizarre CNN Interview

CNN’s Jake Tapper confronted Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio this afternoon over his (and Donald Trump‘s) refusal to give up the “preposterous notion” that President Obama wasn’t born in the United States and that his birth certificate was forged.

He asked Arpaio why he would risk his credibility on issues like immigration by sticking by this conspiracy theory. Arpaio said, “I don’t care where he came from, we’re working on a fraudulent, forged government document.”

An incredulous Tapper asked Arpaio if any respectable law enforcement official agrees with him on this. Arpaio boasted that he’s willing to look into something that everyone else will shy away from.

In fact, Arpaio said, he wouldn’t be stupid enough to go on national television and make such a claim if he wasn’t absolutely sure of himself.

I think Roger Ailes is the problem along with Murdock.

I think Murdock got rid of Beck when Beck went after Jarrett.

The UK almost nailed Murdock in the phone-hacking scandal and the NSA might have been behind that which might have been linked to Beck eradicating a bunch of Barry’s little commies early on and then seeming to target Jarrett until all if a sudden Beck pulled back and then left FOX and the left NYC for Dallas!

Negatory, he has, multiple times, claimed that he has some smoking gun evidence that would blow the whole lid off the thing and was going to release it, but not just yet. And he’s been saying this for years.

I agreed with his analysis, so why bother.

I’m nor convinced he has a big team working on this.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a couple of friends who gave him the info. Hawaii doesn’t seem willing to let folks review their documents, so what else is there.

Considering that we've been hearing for years how Arpaio and his team were just days away from releasing their blockbuster findings I'd say yeah, he's lost credibility. It's poop or get off the pot time.

except Glen appears to be an affable man in real life. Arpiao comes across like an angry old cop. He is loud, stubborn, and does not like his narrow view of the world.

He could have an authentic Alien from Polaris standing next to him, and no credible media would believe him.

I have taken guys like this for what they’re worth for many years. I don’t expect all that much from them.

If they produce, well and good. If they don’t, I don’t get all that worked up over it.

I have appreciated his efforts and I’ll continue to do so.

This segment of his efforts wasn’t that important to me, because I already know the nature of the fraudulent documents.

Sheriff Joe has testified before Judge Snow that the information given to him by confidential informant Dennis Montgomery for which he paid $120,000 on 50 hard drives to evaluate was worthless.

This was the so-called “universe-shattering” evidence as far as I can determine which is NOT in any way to be confused with Barry’s forged BC. The two investigations are totally separate except that Dennis Montgomery was paid $10,000 out of CCP funds to complete some kind of forensic analysis of the BC that as of April 9, 2015 he had NOT completed.

Mike Zullo told Carl Gallups that he is pursuing a completely new approach to evaluating the BC, which MIGHT (or might not) imply that the prior method was less than persuasive in some respect. (URP!)

Sheriff Arpaio’s strong statement to Jake Tapper on CNN would seem to indicate that he still has confidence in the assessment that the BC is forged.

An LEO needs a prosecutor and Sheriff Arpaio doesn’t yet have one. Boehner is blocking an investigation in congress and of course first Holder and now Lynch won’t take it up at DOJ nor will Comey at FBI...so far.

For the sake of argument, I'm going to defend Fox here. It's one thing for Sheriff Joe to go on TV and say here are the facts, and here is the proof (regarding the birth certificate).

But it is another thing for Sheriff Joe to go on TV and just ramble on and on about future investigations. So perhaps Fox simply wants to avoid all that. And I'm sure Fox would just love a world-wide scoop if Sheriff Joe really had something concrete.

The so called birth certificate at the white house web site is a sham...anyone with a little computer graphic experience can determine that. There is no one alive who can verify where he was born...Obama can’t...

I agree the document is fraudulent, and I supported Arpaio at the outset, but his first big presser was a nothingburger. Most of the info he presented was already known to anyone who was researching this stuff. Then he promised he had more, including his “smoking gun” evidence, and would release it in a few months, then it became next year, and now he doesn’t even mention it anymore.

I suppose it’s possible he really had something, and has been blackmailed or bullied into keep it quiet, but then why would he bring the subject up again?
