While Republican frontrunner Donald Trump gleefully attacks members of the GOP Establishment and media, the GOP Establishment seem to believe its a good idea to run to the mainstream media and attack Republican voters.
First Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)43% ran to the Left-wing New Yorker to attack 15,000 GOP base voters as crazies. Wednesday, the GOP Establishment went even further.
Rick Wilson, a top Establishment Republican message and media strategist ran to Politico to attack Trumps supporters as clowns.
According to the most recent national poll, Trump is garnering support from 25% of the GOP base. Which means that a top Establishment strategist believes it is a smart strategy to smear 25% of the GOPs most loyal voters as clowns:
The circus is almost over.
My advice to Trump fans?
Dont be the last clown out of the tent.
Brilliant.
Keep in mind that this is the same GOP Establishment privately and publicly lecturing Trump about tone.
Let me run this down for you
McCain is calling Republican voters crazies, a top GOP strategist is trashing 25% of the GOP base as clowns, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)47% is calling Trump a jackass, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)80% is saying Trump has no class, Rick Perry is declaring Trump a circus sideshow but it is Trump being lectured by The Establishment to watch his tone.
Personally, Ill vote for Jeb Bush before I vote for Donald Trump. But that doesnt mean I cant see that the Republican Party is making a gigantic, hypocritical ass of itself. That, however, I can live with.
What I cant abide are the attacks on everyday American voters emanating from the same Establishment geniuses who have lost the popular vote in 4 of the last 5 presidential elections.

Send in the clowns.
Better a clown than an a-hole like Rick Wilson.

“Why vote for a lesser evil?
Yeah, that’ll do it!
The title is a lie. Nobody can vote for anybody for six months.
25 percent for Trump is enough to allow Jebbie to win with 27 or 28 percent.
My pleasure and please use it often!
Well, we know that 66 million “Americans” are always wrong.
We saw that with W.
Not that he’d do it but if Trump won the nomination and chose one of these GOPers calling him names as his VEEP, they’d wet themselves in glee.
Why don’t they put some of this energy into fighting the evil living in the WH?
It’s sad to see how far Rove has fallen. He engineered some of the most impressive campaign wins in American history (so many in TX in the 90s, the midterms in GWB’s first term, GWB’s 2nd presidential election). He pissed it all down the sewer when he pushed amnesty in 2005-6, which resulted first in pelosi and then obama.
For the sake of the country and his stellar history, he should’ve retired in 2007.
Will do! (I’m throwing this all over FB! lol!)
My dislike for republicans is inching ever closer to my pure hatred of petite socialist democrats. there is not much daylight left between them.
Unlike the rest of the established inside the Beltway GOP types, Newt is waaaay too smart to badmouth any Republican candidate. They might pay him some heed.
Perfect!

Dear Mr. Wilson,
Conservatives and others fed up with the Republican establishment have responded to Trump’s candidacy with enthusiasm for a number of reasons. It is not that we have abandoned solid conservatives like Ted Cruz. Instead, we are heartened by Trump’s willingness to raise important issues with blunt language.
Most of the Republican hopefuls are able to “talk” part of the values of national salvage or honest conservatism during the campaigns. After the past 30 years we now know most of it does not translate into action and service consistent with those promises. We don’t think Trump is much more than an outraged business tycoon. But at least we share that outrage and it is an honest attempt at a reach for salvaging a destroyed nation.
Cruz, Lee and others have honestly given accounts of the self-interested dealing in the Republican party. Remember, we are the party with voters who read and research. We have this current reporting to verify what the record has been for 30 years and the outright refusal to change.
It is now more likely than not that when the “tent” is struck, and the poles come down with the canvas, those left behind in the buried clown cars will be your ilk of parasitic perfumed princes of the party. We know your middle path holds no salvation. Know it. Believe it, because you are about to live it.
Sincerely,
KC Burke, Freerepublic.com
Oh, that guy better hope that Mr. Trump does find out what he thinks of us because this strategist could be demoted to the Rick Perry campaign!
This whole Trump thing has made one thing very clear. The GOP has a plantation just like the dims and you better not leave it if you don’t want to be called a lot of insulting names.
