Donald Trump smiled in uniform as a cadet at the New York Military Academy — then sidestepped the Vietnam draft with college enrollment and a medical deferment for bone spurs — a relatively minor injury in his foot....

After leaving the University of Pennsylvania in 1968, he was quickly classified as 1-A, available for service in July 1968 and went for a physical that September.

He was "disqualified" at some point after the physical and got a medical deferment in October 1968, the records show....

Trump biographer Wayne Barrett, author of "Trump: The Deals and the Downfall," ...said Trump likely got special treatment as a young man with money and influential family connections.

I’m not a Trump supporter. But the attacks on him seem bizarrely off-topic given the urgency and imminent threat of the issues he’s brought to the front pages.

TRUMP: Hurry! Grab a bucket. The house is on fire!
RINOs: Unhand me you fiend. You were disrespectful to John McCain. The only bucket I’m grabbing is the one I’ll smash on your head!

Can we get stop talking about McCain’s hurt feelings and start talking about the 30 million illegals who will be voting democrat in every election from this point forward?

Unlike the current VP, Trump doesn’t
have the MSM herding all the sheeple
for him.

Trump is no conservative, not even
close. Cruz is patient with Trump
because he wants to avoid a 3d
party campaign by Trump. The other
GOP dummies can’t see that. As long
as Trump doesn’t get more ridiculous
Cruz won’t have to call him out and
Trump won’t throw shade on Cruz when
it is time to campaign for the general
election against Piggery. Trump may talk
the talk now but he is not your friend.
Trump is Trump’s friend.

“Our Republican front-runner: A man with the proud military service history of a Bill Clinton! Woo hoo!”

And...there’s Juan McCain with his proud military history. Which to do you prefer?

Realistically, you should CRINGE at the thought of their capture no matter WHO is president. Why not try to be a little dramatic?

“other issues than Immigration”

In case you don’t know, that one is pivotal to our survival as a nation. If a candidate is true-blue conservative on everything else and timid on immigration, it is still all over. The reverse we can deal with.

“I’d rather roll the dice with loose cannon Trump than accept the loaded dice the GOPe hands us every election.”

Good analysis. My sentiments exactly.

The sane ones didn't want to go - they knew that they were fodder for a war that we wouldn't be allowed to win. I had friends in HS that were being drafted but were overweight and were told to lose the weight or not be able to go - they would eat 3 lunches every day....

My best friend got lottery number 42 and they took to the mid-60s that cycle. he had a palsy-type birth defect and was legally blind and walked knock-kneed. He tried to join the AF and Navy to stay out of the Army but couldn't pass the physical. The Army had its arms wide open. His Dad finally got a congressman involved and he was allowed to join the AF where he spent 20 years.

What I like about the “Trump thing” is that it is exposing an awful lot of RINO’s for what they are. The McCains, the Grahams, the Perrys, the Romneys—they are all so quick to stick the wet finger in the wind and recite the obligatory lines for the media.

The Mark O’Malley episode the other day is instructive. The man lost his spine, proved he has no bona fides for office. Trump is doing essentially the same thing to the Republican Party and, thus, doing essential work for the country (doubt if he knows this, though) in exposing our sham Republican Party as the shallowest, the hollowest of men—men who claim to have principle, but without the spine to back it up.

Defending Trump by comparing his actions to those of the Clintons and Obama? High praise indeed

“It is a source of ceaseless amazement at how many normally sound and intelligent conservatives have joined the cheering squad for this pro-abortion, pro gun grabbing, pro amnesty (until a few months ago), pro-sodomy, serial adulterer and political chameleon.”

Why is it that it is those same groups you line out that is intent on destroying Trump, in case you haven’t noticed?

Exactly. I get tired I’d the old he served but he didn’t mode ..... It really doesn’t seem to matter anymore as great Stand up military guys have certainly proven they can fall (see General Petraeus) and those who never served posess plenty of love for this country.

We are living in DIRE times .... We’re 18 trillion in debt ... We’re about to tip the balance and lose our country to gazillions of foreign invaders who will and are already trashing the place and render it unrecognizeab
E within a decade. Our children and children’s children will have to live with this ..... It’s not a time to be counting Boy Scout badges ..... It’s a time to ACT!!!!

Cruz is a solid choice.
Maybe Rand.

Well Paul voted against TPA and Paul has not rushed to McCain's defense over Trump's remarks so at this point I'd rather Paul then Cruz. But (there is always a but) neither has much of a chance of being the nominee. The process and the money is controlled by the GOPe, Chamber of (cheap labor) Commerce/Wall Street bankers. Ergo either they play ball with the GOPe (amnesty) or they do not get the funding needed to win. And should they start to rise in the polls they will get the Dan Quale/Sarah Palin/Donald Trump treatment.

Trump, warts and all, is the only non GOPe candidate that has a chance of winning.

Yes, right on. The GOPer here are telling us we need to elect another lying proffesional politician because we can't trust a non politian business man that has made BILLIONS outside of government.

Bull

Trump is a "deal maker", he is trying to make a "deal" with the American people. So far he has offer to solve our number one problem as a nation and close the southern border, stop the flow of illegals and criminals. He has further put on the table Jobs, he says he can bring back the jobs lost by lousy trade deals. Plus a few other things.

So what's it going to be? Another same old, same old or maybe try something new? Personally seeing how much we'd been lied to by our leaders in the Republican party I am more then willing to try something new. The new thing can't be any worse then the horrible treatment dealt by the uniparty.

I’d like to know what the banksters and NWO oligarchs think of Trump.
If they are afraid of him then that’s all I need to know to support him.
As many of us know, they don’t care which party is in power because they play/ control both sides to further their agenda.
At this point something drastic has to happen.

"on other issues than Immigration

I'm going to quote Sarah Barracuda as she sums things up nicely

"If the left can get Amnesty for those 20+ million illegals they will have power forever. It wont matter who in the GOP runs it wont matter how bad the economy is or if we get attacked by ISIS, it wont matter because those 20 million + illegals are in the bag for the Democrat Party. Just as long as they are given free healthcare, food stamps, and welfare all the Democrat Party asks in return is for their vote which they will get"
