Nobody likes McCain except voters in his state, who have elected him seven straight times, with no losses.
Last time when challenged from the right, McCain defeated Hayworth 56% to 32% in the primary.
Don’t underestimate or write off McCain. Too often I notice conservatives running at the mouth, stuff which is not true.
So when you say “nobody likes McCain” in reality you mean nobody in your interest group likes McCain.
Nationwide for every five Republicans there are eight Independents.
If Trump (or any other Republican) is serious about winning anything, he needs a lot of people that vote for McCain and others like him.

Love Cruz and Walker..... they are my top favorites and miles ahead of the other folks running.
I think Trump is terrific as a political activist and speaks loudly and unafraid on immigration issues, but I don’t really like him for President. That said, I would vote for him if he won the primary becuase I think he would still be better than any Democrat :-(
IF , and it’s a big one , ...If Trump / Cruz were elected and did the job I believe they are capable of doing ...I think Trump would serve one term ( not half a one running for re-electiob ) and then hand the reigns over to Cruz .
You're kidding, right? There are scads of projects Trump has announced to great fanfare, then abandoned, including Trump Towers in New Orleans, Charlotte, Tampa and Dubai.
I couldn't find the reference, but a few months ago I read somewhere that McCain was the least popular US Senator.
I'll stand by my statement. Trying to get Veterans or anyone to rally around defending McCain in order to destroy Trump was pure desperation and not well thought out.
