The Queen, apparently impatient to get to church, veered onto a grass verge to avoid a family strolling through Windsor Great Park.
The monarch took to the wheel of a Jaguar X-type estate as she drove herself down the Long Walk on the Windsor estate on Sunday.
But when she found her path blocked by the young family, she clearly felt she did not have time to wait for them to get out of the way.
Despite diverting around them, the Queen, who is said to be furious over the leaking of a home movie of herself as a child giving an apparent Nazi salute, smiled and waved at the couple walking with their two children.
Scarlett Vincent. 23, and Toby Core, 30, a company director, said they were left in fits of laughter when they realised who it was.

LMAO!
I thought this was a Bruce Jenner thread when I saw the headline!
Interesting that someone can’t wait to get to the Church of England. I had read hardly anyone attends those churches.
I see the problem.
The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car.
Obviously a manufacturing defect.
Poor quality control.
;-)
Most probably her security force has said if you drive you will not stop for anyone. At least that’s what I would say. Stopping the vehicle puts her at risk, assasination, bombs, kidnapping.
That’s a very interesting observation. Royal security is a lot more low key in the UK than over here. But it does exist. I guarantee that there was an armed plainclothes cop sitting next her.
“Queer veers onto grass verge to avoid young family”
Need to put on my glasses.
Well, I suppose there are always exceptions...
It’s my lawn and I’ll drive if I want to
Drive if I want to
Drive if I want to
You would drive too if it happened to you
Now, that crazy uncle of hers actually was a Nazi sympathizer.
I thought the headline said, “Queers veer onto grass to avoid young family...”
Thought, Well that was considerate of them.
lol
What’s funny is; that’s exactly what I did. Guess we see the word queer much more often than Queen.
(which still can mean the same thing)
Edward VIII was, if not a traitor, at least a complete failure at almost everything he touched with the possible exception of being a playboy at public expense. The man had no concept of responsibility.
Thank God for the Queen’s father, George VI. He had no training for the throne since he wasn’t expected to succeed, and was cursed with a severe speech impediment. But he knew his duty and accepted the burden that fate placed on his shoulders. The stress of that burden (along with a 5 packs a day habit) probably helped send to an early grave.
Unnecessarily snarky.
LOL
I've never seen a Jag Wagon. (jack-wagons yes)
In fact, I never even thought of a such a thing.
I agree completely. And I thought The King’s Speech was a gem of a movie.
It’s a paved track wide enough for a car and.... It is her property!
