Re The “Nazi salute”: I read once that before the rise of Hitler that US school children saluted the flag with the extended hand when said the Pledge of Allegiance. When the Nazis adopted it, the pledge was changed to be a hand over the heart.
BS story
The Queen of England? She's a bit more like regular people.
Yeah we used to use the Bellamy salute in the USA till the US flag code was changed in 1942.

The Queen is quite an independent sort. During the war, she was a motor car mechanic. And yes, a Jag fits her well. I believe this story and I am sure that she waved after she drove around the commoners.
Well that was completely random and irrelevant to the story.
What was she doing driving on a pedestrian walkway?
She’s only a bit older than my mother who terrorizes the back roads of Maryland’s Eastern Shore in her Miata that she purchased 26 years ago (first year).
It’s explained in the story. The path through the Great Park at Windsor Castle is closed to motor traffic... except for park rangers and the Queen. It’s probably the most direct route to her church.
It’s the little old lady from Buckingham Palace
The little old lady from Buckingham Palace
(Go Granny, Go Granny, Go Granny, Go)
Has a pretty little flower bed of white Gardenias
(Go Granny, Go Granny, Go Granny, Go)
But parked in a palatial garage
Is a brand new shiny red super stocked Jag
I have the exact same car.
I figure I’m not “old” until I can’t get in and out of it, LOL.
Looks to me like she thought she was doing them a favor rather than honking at them and telling them to get off the road. Although it does seem a bit dangerous if the man didn’t know she was right there.
I could see obama sneaking right up behind the guy, a foot away, and then laying on the horn.
“Did you see that guy jump when I honked at him!? Get it - honked - honkey!? I crack myself up. Too bad about the kid rolling down the hill and into the pond.”
That was actually a different pledge in words too. But, for the most part it’s true...if you believe the history channel.
The royals love to drive themselves. The Queen is a mechanic. Check out the movie The Queen for verification. Diana was a sensational driver who would still be alive today if she had taken the wheel rather than that drunk frog. Anne is also a good driver despite her many traffic violations. I don’t know about Charles.
Let’s put our royalty (the prez, the senate and the house) back in the driver’s seat. Get rid of the limos!
Plate blurred to protect her identity? Too late methinks.
