The coming Donald Trump implosion — don’t blink
The Washington Times ^ | 20 Jul 15 | James Curl

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Which of these Donald Trump headlines is false?

(1) Trump Mocks Vietnam War POW John McCain for Being Captured

(2) Trump Tells Iowa Dairy Farmers He Has Cows 500 Times Bigger Than Theirs

(3) Trump Hate-Tweets Magician Penn Jillette at 3 a.m.

It could be any of those because The Donald is capable of anything (for the record, it’s number 2). Here’s a wonderful excerpt from The Onion story under that headline: “Your cows are small and scrawny, and you should be embarrassed to milk them,” said Trump, adding that each of his cows was the size of “at least” a dozen Cadillacs and had “udders that’ll make your head spin.” “No one raises dairy cows as gigantic or successful as I do; everyone knows that. My cattle are winners, and you people would be lucky to have them graze here.”

To use a Civil War analogy,(being a Southerner this pains me) Trump is using full on frontal assaults against a tactically superior and well engineered PC leftist establishment foe. This is the same technique that Grant used in his march to Richmond in 1864. Full frontal assaults against a crafty, experienced and well trained foe, damn the casualties. It is ugly but it can work.

Well it’s a good thing he wasn’t mocked. Watch the actual video and see what Luntz did.

Manufactured outrage. But yes, Trump needs to be 10% more careful with word choice without toning done.

“Finally, while I’m no big fan of John McCain, I highly respect his wartime service.”

Trump didn’t slam all Vets. He spit on John McCain individually. Because you don’t like him, you knock him here and use this war hero issue to do so. Do you anti-Trump people realize what you are doing? You are trying to bring down the only guy out there verbalizing what we all supposedly think on the issues, including what we think about John McCain and that has always been virtually totally negative. McCain is who now you are inadvertently defending.

Juan McCain has been on the wrong side of many, many conservative issues to this very moment, and he is up for reelection and will probably win, as usual. McCain’s war hero status is so dubious that many Vets have spoken out against him over the years. The men who shared captivity at the same time as McCain in Viet Nam have spoken about what he said and did during this time period. As far as I can see it was bordering on collaboration with the enemy while in captivity. Bowe Bergdahl comes to mind as a more modern example.

First thing McCain did upon his return to the U.S. was to dump his wife that stood by him for all the years of his captivity for a young girl from a wealthy family (like John Kerry did by marrying Theresa Heinz, heir to a fortune) to help further his political career. I might add he is seldom ever seen with his wife Cindy (another politically convenient marriage ala the Clintons and John Kerry and his wife). McCain spends most of his time with his partner in crime, Lindsay Graham.

The MSM was all over this on the Sunday morning political shows, of course saying nothing about what elicited this response from Trump, that Juan McCain, amnesty supporter maximus, called all supporters of Trump who attended his anti-immigration rally in Arizona, “Crazies”. That’s us folks; McCain is calling all of us Crazies.

And now some here are slamming Trump, broadening out what he said to try to make his comment an anti-Vet one, which it isn’t and you know it, and elevating Juan McCain once again in the public eye, a man who is happy with the military getting less funding, is against strong interrogation of terrorists we have captured, and speaks about helping Vets while doing very little for their actual benefit. Juan McCain is less supportive of Vets than Donald Trump will be, who is very pro-Vet and will actually fund and help them. And yet you are inadvertantly supporting the true skunk at the party, McCain.

Let’s just say that the MSM, the Dems, the pro-immigration people, the GOPe, all of them our alleged enemies, have banded together to try to knock Trump out of the race, along with some Freepers who can’t see the forest through the trees. If they succeed, our one populist voice, more concerned with Main Street rather than K Street and Wall Street, will indeed be silenced. We will be left with a bunch of milquetoast candidates, all the zing and excitement will go out of these primaries if Trump is gone, and enthusiasm will fizzle out in short order on the conservative side. We will be setting ourselves up for losing the Presidency once again, or ending up with the establishment’s choice, Jeb Bush, as our flag bearer and eventual President.

Our one voice (with the exception of Ted Cruz who just can’t seem to get traction in this race but at least he’s smart enough to figure out that Trump is out there speaking the truth on today’s major issues) is the designated target. He is leading in the polls and thus must be eliminated. Trump is the one man where a very concerted effort is being made by Trump’s enemies; at this very moment they are desperately banding together to try to get Trump out of the race NOW. If they succeed, I can assure you that at that point I will go back to pre-Trump mentality, meaning I will have very little further interest in these primaries, and my enthusiasm will dwindle to minimal as will that of many, many others.

Can’t you see what our enemies are trying to do here? They are all out there trying to silence the one man who says what we think, is a doer, and is a fighter. Trump is a brave man, he is losing a lot personally by having entered this fray, he didn’t have to do this but has because he is a patriot and is fighting tooth and nail as did our forefathers, for the American way of life.

If his enemies succeed in getting Trump out of the race, we conservatives will be diminished and the GOPe will have won, and we will end up with Bush who stands to gain the most from Trump’s removal from the race. Jeb Bush will end up winning the primaries because no one else has the money to win with, other than Bush or Trump. Of course Bush will be beholden to many for his win, whereas Trump will be beholden to no one, as he is self funded.

You people must see what the true motives of our enemies are here in trying to bring down Trump. That motive is to get Jeb Bush in as the Pub candidate in the primaries, and thus maintain the status quo; the GOPe, corporatists and Wall Street interests, the globalists who will win whether either Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush are President. It will be a choice of two peas out of the same elitist pod. And the American mainstream will continue to suffer, ... that’s YOU.

LOL...

I bet you are disappointed in Cruz. He sold out, right?

Funny, you support a man who flipped on immigration, abortion and gun rights.

BTW, he still supports SINGLE payer health care.

I guess you aren’t disappointed in that either, huh?

Exactly. I’ll differ with you only to say I don’t give a rip about McCain.

However, I was told last night that Trump would be better than Hillary even though he’s probably a Democrat, and even if he is pro-abortion and pro-queer marriage. Some of the “conservatives” supporting him for the presidency no longer care that he’s a liberal and would pull the lever anyway.

IMHO Bush won’t get the nomination. Yes he’s the rich establishment and who the media “wants” as the GOPe nomination like they pushed for McCain. But let’s face it, a 3rd Bush president isn’t on the minds of Americans and neither is Hitlery.

Trump is going to do what Perot did. Go Independent and split the GOPe vote for a Dem win. Doesn’t history repeat itself from time to time? This is what the media wants when it comes down to it. It’s a sound strategy for a Dem win.

But... the difference this time around is Scott Walker and the Dems are terrified of him because of his record here in my home state of Wisc. (I live in Neenah)

I can’t wait for the debates!!

I believe people can change, especially when it costs them billions of dollars.

I'm a Cruz guy too, but I'd prefer people change for the good of the country. Like Reagan did.

This guy is toxic and bad for the conservative movement. Besides, he’s no conservative!!!

I'm afraid you will get nowhere with the Trumpettes. Only bitter experience will teach them the lesson they need.

I already mentioned previously that his actions as a Senator in regards to quashing the POW issue is fair game. I criticize him on that myself regularly. Everything you said in critiquing MCain is concerning his actions as a Senator. I agree wholeheartedly about that. Trump did not criticize McCain the politician, he criticized his war hero status which was out of bounds, especially for a draft dodger.

". The men who shared captivity at the same time as McCain in Viet Nam have spoken about what he said and did during this time period."

Again, these inuendos. No one who actually shared time with him in a cell has come out and made these accusations of him making propoganda video. Where is the video. Read this:

"Mr. Day recalls with pride Mr. McCain stubbornly refusing to accept special treatment or curry favor to be released early, even when gravely ill. Mr. McCain knew the Vietnamese wanted the propaganda victory of the son and grandson of Navy admirals accepting special treatment. "He wasn't corruptible then," Mr. Day says, "and he's not corruptible today."

http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB120951606847454685

If you want to know who Bud Day was, he was a MOH recipient and also was awarded the Air Force Cross. His character was unimpeachable. One other thing, he was John McCain's cell mate for much of McCain's POW time. He had nothing but the highest praise for McCain's conduct as a POW. Now who are you going to believe? McCain's cellmate or some unnamed Vietnam vet or POW? Where are all these propoganda tapes he supposedly made? My guess is that people have made a lot of these statements because of his unconsciounable actions as a Senator. Again, criticize his record as a Senator, especially in regards to the POW issue, but not his service as that by all accounts is unimpeachable...

It's funny that everyone that likes Trump talks about his tough talk and talking about the issues. Where's he been for the last 40 years on these issues? These same people hate Obamacare, but don't even realize that Trump has written in favor of national health care. I think the whole Trump phenomenon is because conservatives are so fed up with our side giving in they'll take anyone that talks a good game.

DT was doing a very good job of criticizing JM the politian, He was going after JM for calling all of us who want to see the border closed “crazies”. So to deflect, Frank Luntz shouts “war hero”

I don’t think there are many true war hero’s that use that designation as a means to deflect from honest criticism. But, that is the pc game these jerks play, unfortunately, it works on many people.

“Trump did not criticize McCain the politician, he criticized his war hero status which was out of bounds, especially for a draft dodger.”

And stop calling Trump a draft dodger, as you are then calling the majority of men in this country that were not called up to serve or had student deferments, including the likes of Dick Cheney, draft dodgers. Not everyone serves in the military for a wide variety of reasons, nor could they if they wanted to, now that it is being downsized by this abominable Obama administration.

You use the words draft dodger as a pejorative to smear Trump further and take pleasure in doing so. Trump is being amazingly BRAVE by saying all the un-PC and truthful comments he has been publicly making that almost all of the other Pub candidates are remaining silent on. Trump went to a military academy, so he actually has more background on military life than many who have never served. If Trump would have joined the military, IMO he would have been like having another Patton. Similar qualities of leadership.

"DT was doing a very good job of criticizing JM the politian"

Is this what the below reported quote by Trump is?

"He's not a war hero, hes a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured."

I agree with you that war hero is a term used a little too loosely for my liking these days. However it applies to McCain for his actions of resisting to go home to give the VC a propoganda victory even when on death's door. This is corroborated by a medal of honor recipient and his cell mate Bud Day, not some unnamed Viet Nam vets that I see in so many articles lambasting him.

My one criticism of Cheney, he was a draft dodger and so was Trump. You can spin it anyway you want it, but that's what they were. The truth hurts and no one is perfect. I'm sure at least in Cheney's case, I would think if he had to do it over again, he would have done differently seeing how he lived the rest of his life. At least that's what I would like to believe. BTW, you are not a draft dodger if you were never called. It's when you actively attempt to avoid service (such as many, many student deferrments) that you are a draft dodger. Why do you think we have a bunch of ex hippy 70 year olds with doctorates? Because they stayed in school forever....

good grief. Did you even watch the video?

DT was calling out JM for calling all of us crazies. Frank Luntz stopped DT in the middle of his comments to say that JM was a war hero. NOw, what did JM being a war hero have to do with what DT was talking about? Nothing. The point was to try to stop DT from getting his important message out.

I don't know how you can take that quote out of context. He either said it or he didn't. If he said it, he's wrong and should apologize, but Trump is all about Trump and he will never apologize for anything. Do you even care that your hero Trump has written in support of universal health care and supports the Kelo decision and even tried to use it in Georgia to kick some woman off her property where he wanted to build a parking lot?

Trump is all about Trump. He will do and say anything! When are you Trump supporters going to figure out this massive ego inflated jacka$$ has always been all about himself?

You're wrong, but it's about Trump, not me. I know all about Juan McCain calling Trump's supporters crazies. Does that warrant Trumps response of disparaging his war service? One wrong does not make a right. Attack Juan McCain on his record for illegal aliens, not his honorable service as a Navy fighter pilot.
