"I don't need to be lectured." Trump Responds
The Right Scoop ^ | July 19, 2015

Posted on 07/19/2015 7:51:16 PM PDT by Din Maker

El Trumpo called into two different Sunday news shows to defend his comments, and go on the offense against John McCain’s record on veterans’ issues. Then tonight, he tweeted out a link to this op-ed at USA Today to further explain himself.

"John McCain has called his own constituents who want a secure border “crazies.” No one in the news media or the establishment, including the Republican National Committee, criticized the senator for those comments.

Now, as respected reporter Sharyl Attkisson has proved point by point, the news media are also distorting my words. But that is not my point. McCain the politician has failed the state of Arizona and the country.

During my entire business career, I have always made supporting veterans a top priority because our heroes deserve the very best for defending our freedom. Our Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals are outdated dumps. I will build the finest and most modern veterans hospitals in the world. The current medical assistance to our veterans is a disaster. A Trump administration will provide the finest universal access health care for our veterans. They will be able to get the best care anytime and anywhere.

Thanks to McCain and his Senate colleague Bernie Sanders, their legislation to cover up the VA scandal, in which 1,000+ veterans died waiting for medical care, made sure no one has been punished, charged, jailed, fined or held responsible. McCain has abandoned our veterans. I will fight for them.

The reality is that John McCain the politician has made America less safe, sent our brave soldiers into wrong-headed foreign adventures, covered up for President Obama with the VA scandal and has spent most of his time in the Senate pushing amnesty. He would rather protect the Iraqi border than Arizona’s. He even voted for the Iran Nuclear Review Act of 2015, which allows Obama, who McCain lost to in a record defeat, to push his dangerous Iran nuclear agreement through the Senate without a supermajority of votes.

A number of my competitors for the Republican nomination have no business running for president. I do not need to be lectured by any of them. Many are failed politicians or people who would be unable to succeed in the private sector. Some, however, I have great respect for."

Well damn. Doesn’t sound like he’s gonna apologize.

“Trump would/will run 3rd party if there is some good support out there. imo

Unfortunately, that virtually guarantees a Shrillary win. We’re screwed”

Shrillary or Jebby. What difference, at this point, does it make?

The election will be lost because of voter fraud on a massive scale.. If even a decent republican GETS chosen.. _________________________________________________________________________________________ We hear this every year. It has been proven that there has NOT been "voter fraud on a massive scale" since the Tea Pot Dome Scandal in New York in the late 1800s and Chicago Mayor Daley's Political Machine's corrupt politics in Chicago in the '50s and '60s. Besides, If Trump is the nominee, he has the money and the wherewithal to combat voter fraud.

If Trump is destroyed, sit and watch how the rest of them will be destroyed by the MSM listening to the whispers of the RATS’ opposition researchers, the same way it was done in 2012 and 2008 to give us the Establishment’s candidates. Your man’s turn will come, and all we’ll remember of him (or her) in 4 year’s time will be the bomb that the RATS exploded, just as the bomb is all we remember of Herman Cain, and 47% is all anyone remembers of whatsisname.

Let me predict:

Carly Fiorina? We’ll meet the widow with six starving children of an engineer laid off from HP, who committed suicide.

Dr. Ben Carson? Welcome to the public sphere the grieving parents of a dead child under the good doctor’s care (what else!)

And so on...

You are forgetting the internet and social media. The paradigm has changed from when the media was a monopoly voice and so high and mighty. And they are scared s**tless because they know this. And anyway, Trump has enough money to build his own loudspeaker if he needs to.

Yes that's it. The landscape has changed dramatically. DT has millions of followers on FB and Twitter and he sends out dozens of messages every day. He said it's like owning the NYT without the debt.

Not much. But I’d be forced to hold my nose again and vote for, spit, jeb. Hillary would be a disaster. Jeb might be somewhat tempered by Congress. Maybe,,,,,,

That sounds like a pattern for McCain. Legislation to block help for vets and cover up his tracks.

Hurdles and limitations

Finally, in addition to these hurdles and limitations, the McCain act does not specifically order the declassification of the information. Further, it provides the Defense Department with other justifications for withholding documents. One such clause says that if the information “may compromise the safety of any United States personnel … who remain not accounted for but who may still be alive in captivity, then the Secretary [of Defense] may withhold that record or other information from the disclosure otherwise required by this section.”

Boiled down, the preceding paragraph means that the Defense Department is not obligated to tell the public about prisoners believed alive in captivity and what efforts are being made to rescue them. It only has to notify the White House and the intelligence committees in the Senate and House. The committees are forbidden under law from releasing such information.

McCain goes further to hurt future POWs...

Another bill gutted in 1996

And then there is the Missing Service Personnel Act, which McCain succeeded in gutting in 1996. A year before, the act had been strengthened, with bipartisan support, to compel the Pentagon to deploy more resources with greater speed to locate and rescue missing men. The measure imposed strict reporting requirements.

McCain amended the heart out of the statute. For example, the 1995 version required a unit commander to report to his theater commander within two days that a person was missing and describe what rescue and recovery efforts were underway. The McCain amendments allowed 10 days to pass before a report had to be made.

I know he doesn’t need it, but I feel compelled to send the Donald a donation just to say “Thank you!”

I really hope he and Cruz are somehow working together in this and are allies.

This guy has the biggest 2 brass ones. Trump is shining the light on how PC the other candidates are. They all care only about their power in DC, while the middle class and country is literally being invaded by criminals.

Why should Trump run 3rd party if he remains at the top among GOP candidates?

on the republican ticket, 3rd party is a bad idea”.

I would really like to know what straw it was that broke Trumps adornment of the establishment. Because he is doing all of this on his dime and is not letting up. Obama has never been on his own dime. I’ll take his words to be far more credible than those of any establishment politician ANY DAY.

Would I vote for him? Most likely not unless he becomes the nominee. He couldn’t be anywhere near as bad for this country as Hitlery, Bernie or O’Malley. Nevermind the gaggle of establishment RINOs.

BTW, he did not say that no one should lecture him, he said he doesn’t need lecturing from those engaged in the establishment jihad against him. You know, the typical hypocrites who are attacking him.

The debates will rule the day and even then, he has every right to call them as he sees them, The way he is going, his obliteration of the establishment template is a wonderful thing to see.

It’s more telling that you can’t tell the difference between Obama and one of his 2008 supporters.
