Earlier, 2016 presidential contender Donald Trump made a very ignorant statement about senator and Vietnam POW John McCain that may have greatly hurt his chances at the White House.
Trump said he favors people that werent captured in war.
Heres the Donalds follow up
Theres no doubt that McCain is a Republican in name only, but I feel Trump lost a good portion of potential voters by disparaging a member of our armed forces.
Donald can say he is fighting for our Veterans, and Im sure he supports them now and would as president also, but this may be hard to walk back.
Thoughts?
That is the Left's talking point, he made a choice to stay behind. Now flip the coin, let's see what would happened had he come back. Would the Nave have welcomed him? Would his family? What about the families of other POW's? It would have been, politically, tremendously divisive. And say goodbye to any thoughts of a career. So in reality he had no choice, but the Left seized upon this as proof of his character. That's all they had.
Thanks for posting the video of Trumps comments about McCain...he’s right. ...and I don’t care if he doesn’t say things in the way people want it said.
Trump does it “differently” and says things “differently” ....if you don’t listen well then you’ll loose his point entirely because he talks Trump talk...meaning he thinks out loud therefore several comments flow pretty much at once.
Bush had that same issue...the difference being he didn’t say it out loud nearly as much. This is a trait that some very smart and successful men have but some just hide it better than others.
If you really feel that way, you might as well just throw your support behind Jeb Bush. Speaking for myself, I'm sick of apologist, hand-wringing milquetoast RINOS who feel they need to walk on eggshells all the time.
No true alpha male speaks his mind without pissing off people now and then. This is what alpha males do. And alpha males aren't supposed to care or worry that they "offended" anybody.
So no apologies, no "walking" comments back (by the way, I hate that phrase).
Your dog won’t hunt. In the CONTEXT of the conversation, expanding outside of the direct comments is incorrect. Trump has PROVEN his defense of our vets as well as his respect for them. What has McCain done for the Vets or for the MIAs and their families? Zero, zero, zilch!
Welp, good thing I'm not a "real republican"
Let’s be realistic. John McCain as Senate has been a disaster. John McCain is also a war hero for his years of captivity as a POW. But being a POW itself didn’t make McCain a war hero. The fact that he could have been released early but refused to be without the other POWs is what makes him a war hero.
I wish Trump would stay on the facts, McCain graduated last in his class at Annapolis, would have washed out of flight training if his Dad and Granddad had not been Admirals in the Navy. By stringing his criticisms out one at a time, he will get beat up bad for each one. If he bring it all out at once, it will be hard to beat him up if it’s all true.
The only thing I give McCain credit for is when his captors found out he was the son of a Navy Admiral they offered to release him, but he chose to stay until all the POWs were released.
Exactly.
NO, he graduated FIFTH from the bottom of ‘58 the Great!
“However, he is undermining the stage management of the election by the RNC and DNC. The fundamental corruption of our entire ruling class is being exposed, and I love watching it.”
They swore that after 1984 they would never allow another Reagan. They are playing on the same team, they make up “rules” about “running for President” that do not exist in the Constitution - “stage managing” is a perfect way to put it.
Go Trump!
“how the hell do you know?”
There’s a database for that...
Wrong, McCain graduated FIFTH from the bottom of ‘58 the great.
no. if you support trump, you are supporting a liberal. that makes you a liberal.
I know, facts suck, and all. but that’s the reality.
Wrong —
McCain was offered the opportunity to be released and refused to be without his fellow POWs = War Hero
Trump had 4 deferments that kept him out of the draft.
McCain volunteered.
Wrong
McCain was offered the opportunity to be released and refused to be without his fellow POWs = War Hero

THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY POST.
HE GRADUATED 5TH FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE CLASS OF ‘58.
yeah, I was having a hard time following that one as well.
Cause liberals know their best chance is to run as conservative Republicans.
Do you really think your "up is down" campaign is going to get any traction?
