He sure knows a lot about Islam for a Christian, as he represents himself to be. Out of curiosity, does he also give these sort of informational press releases for some of the less-common Christian holidays (e.g. Pentecost, Palm Sunday, etc) or, for holy days of other religions to which he doesn’t officially subscribe - just like he theoretically doesn’t subscribe to Islam? Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Shinto, etc? Or do press releases like these only come on relatively obscure Islamic days?
Good point. What timing. With Christians he uses the opportunity of an observance to slam them. What a difference.
It would be like honoring the confederacy and all its ongoing traditions after that mass murder at the black church.

My main message right now is, obviously, the deepest sympathies of the American people to the four Marines that have been killed. It is a heartbreaking circumstance for these individuals who have served our country with great valor to be killed in this fashion.
Once again Obama adds "obviously" to a supposed condolence statement. "Obviously", as in "this is perfunctory", "I pretty much have to say this stuff".

Wow, he is only all excited and moved by the Muslim holidays and gives the Christian and Jewish ones brief mention.
On Muslim holidays, he gets into all the colorful traditions in full detail and doesn’t mention any other religions. On Jewish and Christian holy days, he always makes a huge point to mention ALL the religions and never describes ANYTHING meaningful or traditional or colorful about that holy day itself.
