During Wednesdays national press conference about his Iran deal, President Obama played the media like a fiddle. It was a situation where the media was so compliant the questioners were hand-picked by the White House beforehand, the president filibustered throughout, and Obama ended the event by asking himself the questions he wanted to answer.
Only Major Garrett of CBS News asked a truly tough question, a question that was obviously framed in a way to cut through the presidents rigorously-rehearsed talking points. For daring to question the Lightbringer in the same way the media questioned President George W. Bush for 8 years, CNN went hard after Garrett over two news hours (thus far).
Before Don Lemon was brought on later to beclown himself, CNNs congressional correspondent, Dana Bash, attacked Garrett as disrespectful.
BASH: Ive been a White House reporter, youve been a White House report You know what its like to stand up and ask the president a question and you do want to be tough. But theres a fine line, especially standing in the East Room a fine line between asking a tough question and maybe crossing that line a little bit, and maybe being disrespectful. So I think that that happened there.
But that wasnt enough. In the following hour, CNN hauled out Don Lemon and Gloria Borger to attack Garrett. . .

Yeah, but he got an Army deserter released. That shows what he considers to be important.
Two perfectly appropriate questions? THAT’s all this is about?
If the four Americans were US soldiers who deserted their units and joined enemy forces, they would be home next week and obama would be feeling up their mothers in the Rose Garden.
Obama appeared on the national scene in 2007 or a little before that. So in 8+ years he was asked one difficult question. The leftists are outraged that one time in all these years a journalist actually did his job and a real question slipped through.
Absolutely! Dana Bash is an untalented odd wad to miss entirely her own hypocrisy. Her ex-husband is John King who was demoted by CNN. He was intelligent, a consummate professional, dignified, but not liberal enough. He is seldom seen since they hung the brass pajamas on Anderson Cooper, who consumes all the air time CNN can give him.
when cnn hosts the GOP presidential debates I would love to see more than one contender throw these responses back at the cnn agitator.
Good point! Those 4 American lives are real, their families are real, and any reporter who is a real American would have been chomping at the bit to ask the very same question on behalf of his countrymen.
“Barry left four people stranded. Déjà vu all over again.”
But he “brought home” than deserter Bowe Bergdahl!
They will rationalize it away, it would be a waste of time.
Also left behind.
Sheesh. What sheep these people are. Garrett was forced to give a defense for his tough question. I remember when reporters would get into fights with Nixon - no one said a word.
Bump
CNN receives tax dollars for news content. They are Obama’s hired guns.
CBS does it without pay, for they are loyal fellow travelers doing their bit for the Glorious Cause.
We see here the mercenaries carryin out their orders to take down an apostate.
There is also a racial component here at play, also. They are so desperate to not have the first black president fail that the press has been willing to throw any sliver of impartiality aside to protect him
They can do this becaause CNN never disrespected Bush ... right?
“Stick up for Obama and share in some of his stash”
Anderson Cooper is “protected class”
Il Douche likes his media to be obedient. He doesn’t do well in an off prompter mode.
You’d be surprised what collectivists get their knickers in a knot over.
