Something like eight hours for a signal to be sent? Takes that long to reach Earth?

"Something like eight hours for a signal to be sent? Takes that long to reach Earth?" Yep. It's about a third of a light-day distant from here...

4-1/2 hours to send it a command
4-1/2 hours for the probe to send an acknowledgement.
It is 3 billion miles away
In comparison, it takes sunlight about 8 minutes to reach Earth.
God’s universe is immense. I am in awe

Something like eight hours for a signal to be sent? Takes that long to reach Earth?Someone on another thread had a link to a website that represented the 'scale' of the distance between the Sun and all the planets.
If you try to represent accurate distances on a piece of paper , the scale of the planets is so small that they are invisible.
