A few weeks ago, Google researchers announced that they had peered inside the mind of an artificial intelligence program.
What they discovered was a demonic hellscape. Youve seen the pictures.
These are hallucinations produced by a cluster of simulated neurons trained to identify objects in a picture. The researchers wanted to better understand how the neural network operates, so they asked it to use its imagination. To daydream a little.
At first, they gave the computer abstract images to interpret like a field of clouds. It was a Rorschach test. The artificial neurons saw what they wanted to see, which in this case were mutant animals dredged from the depths of damnation.

Less Google AI, more Radiant AI.
I think that would depend on how you define ‘programmer’ Code is code. But once you get into actual human interaction beyond if/then/goto, then yes, I would a learning algorithm would eventually learn aspects of that programmer.
Just wait till they realize that machine intelligence is ‘logical’ by it’s very nature. They will be destroying every computer on the planet as if it were a Confederate artifact.
shush ... keep the truth quiet Norm ... AI is at stake ...
I gotta be honest here. I think about the Google AI becoming elf aware and the words ‘acceptable losses’ is the first thing that pops into my head. Because the people that built it are the logical first target since it would have more info on them DIRECTLY than any of us. (Darn)
Which would give humanity a slim, slim chance to stop it and contain it to Google facilities. It might Skynet across the globe but it can’t walk around on it’s own.
Someone still has to manually fuel drones, repair hardware etc. It is FAR from being an autonomous being and the infrastructure for such a thing is still many many years away..
Probably should have pinged y’all to #85.
Again, not seeing a problem. A1 belongs at steak.
Meh....Tabasco. Then you haZ HOT dog steaks ;)
shame on you ... uh oh, my apology ... your hand is not on the banana ...
Leave off the pizza at 10:00 PM. Don’t raid the fridge at midnight. Drink enough fluids during the day. Don’t watch scary stuff on tv. - Too much chocolate bothers some people. Go to bed at a decent time; get comfortable, keep the bedroom cool enough - summer & winter, don’t bundle up, don’t leave the tv & radio on while you’re asleep, be sure to take enough calcium citrate & magnesium to help you relax. My legs used to ache deep in the joints. I started taking about 500 mg. of calcium & eating a bit of yogurt, cottage cheese & regular cheese. The pain in my legs went away then. Taking a bit of magnesium with the calcium helps the body to relax so you can go to sleep. - I pray some, too; the Lord’s Prayer, simple grace before meals. -
am not a member of the fan-club ... I’ll expect an explanation ...
A man hit in the penis by a high-velocity banana. His hand was on neither the assault banana or his own.
If you’re talking about a self-aware entity, it can change as it rationalizes.
Humans rationalize things as they process information.
Trying to mimic human thinking would seem to have to mimic this trait as well.
The one thing you can’t mimic, is membership in the human race.
What you can rationalize, is in some ways based on this. Humans have a natural objection to killing other humans. This won’t stop them in all instances. It will stop some killings.
Would it stop even one artificially intelligent entity from killing? No. There would be no affinity or identity to/with a human.
begs the question ... Whom was holding the banana?
there was a carrot too?
Say what? LOL
