EXCLUSIVE — DONALD TRUMP ON THE GOP PRIMARY: ‘IF I WIN, I WILL BEAT HILLARY’
Breitbart ^ | July 9,2015 | by KATIE MCHUGH

In an exclusive interview, billionaire Donald Trump tells Breitbart News that voters respond powerfully to his statements on immigration and trade, and that he is the only candidate who can defeat presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016.

“It’s been a wild ride. It’s been pretty wild. But the message is getting out there and the polls are looking good, and we’re doing fine. And I’m enjoying it,” said Trump, who shot up in the polls after taking a strong stand against illegal immigration. “I loved what I was doing before, but this is so important for the country, because politicians are never going to make our country great.”

One can have great respect for Mexico and treat the country fairly — and demand that they do the same, Trump said. Other countries walk all over the U.S. on trade, thanks in part to American leadership failing to negotiate deals that benefit Americans.

“We’re getting killed on trade, all over the world. Not only with Mexico — and I have great respect for Mexico. I have great relationships with the Hispanics and I always have. I employ thousands of Hispanics. I’ve employed so many. They’re phenomenal people. I have great, great love for the Mexican people. I have respect for the country of Mexico.”

“The problem is,” he continued, “the leadership in Mexico is so much smarter than our leadership. And the trade deals they’re making are good for Mexico, and bad for the United States. They’re terrible for the United States.”

“And I believe that’s a factor in Univision, because I think Mexico wanted Univision to do something to get me, even more so than the border, get me to stop talking about the horrible trade deals the United States is making with Mexico,

So, does your "proven to be made of the most solid and dependable stuff" candidate include support for TPA, inclusive of derision for it's opponents in cahoots with Paul Ryan...and does it also include support for the Cochran bill that "Fast Track'd" the Iran nuke deal in circumvention of the Constitution?

If that's the case, take your delusion elsewhere. I don't want to hear your silly, naive bleating.

Or, perhaps you're referencing a Only True Conservative?

Yeah, right. Might be the same one on the Robert Mercer payroll, beholden to the Chamber of Commerce and Karl Rove's money machine.

I said most, not all. Believe it or not there are more issues than immigration.

Both want European style socialized medicine.

Both want to ban guns that look scary.

Both want to raise taxes on the job creators.

Both oppose deportation and support one form of legal status for illegals.

Both have poured money into the Clinton political campaigns.

Both have poured money into other liberal campaigns.

Both have poured money into the Clinton “charity” foundation.

Until recently both were pro-choice.

Both think Bill Clinton was the best.

Both saw Reagan as an empty suit.

Shall I go on? Trump is not the conservative people want him to be.

“I said most, not all. Believe it or not there are more issues than immigration.”

Lose immigration and give the Dems a PERMANENT MAJORITY - then NOTHING ELSE MATTERS - and I don’t see ANY OTHER Republican candidate (with the possible exception of Cruz) that is able to understand it.

If you can’t understand what happens to our COURTS, CONGRESS, and EXECUTIVE BRANCH when the Democrats CONTROL IT ALL...you need to study up on government a bit.

Yet ANOTHER newbie. I hate to say it, but even with Jeb paying you guys, Free Republic keeps a VERY GOOD history of the people on this site. You cannot simply sign up here and start BASHING everyone - it’s way to OBVIOUS.

You have to EARN your way to credibility here - come back after posting continuously for 4 years, and then tell us why Trump doesn’t deserve re-election. We’ll listen then.

Trump wants to keep the illegals here as long as they work. How is that position different than any of the other candidates on the right other than his talking tough about it?

Throwing away my God given 2nd amendment rights is not worth someone talking tough.

“Reaper19

Like I say, come back in 4 years, AT A MINIMUM, if you want to be taken as anything other than a TROLL on this site.

...but there are plenty of others, and I know you guys are paid by hour, so try working your stuff there.

"I donate a lot of money to many different people, and many different foundations — but I’m disappointed in her. I’m disappointed that she didn’t give her emails. I’m disappointed that she was the worst Secretary of State in the history of the country. I’m disappointed at her — what happened in Benghazi and lots of other places during her term. I am disappointed in Hillary. During her tenure, I should say. But I’m disappointed in Hillary. So when she says she’s disappointed in me, I’m far more disappointed in her, and so is the American public.

And I don’t think she will win the race. If I win, I will beat Hillary. And I believe I’m the only candidate that will be able to beat Hillary.”

I said reader not poster. If you’re going to accuse me of being something I’m not, at least have the courtesy to not put words in my mouth.

Look, ignore Trump’s own darn words all you want. IF he somehow gets elected enjoy your socialized medicine with a smile on your face.

While I don’t agree with Cruz’s former support for the fast track authority (not TPP as you suggest) he ended up changing his mind and coming out against it.
Also, he was not a supporter of the Iran deal. He openly said it was a bad bill. He attempted to introduce amendments to make it better. His ultimate vote for the deal was disappointing but was not a deal breaker since it made no difference in the outcome as the final vote was 98-1.

There is no perfect candidate who has never made a poor decision. We need to view a candidate as the totality of his career. Through that lens there is no doubt that Cruz is perhaps the most conservative candidate ever and Trump is a flash in the pan.

I know one thing for sure though.

My candidate never did this...

Trump is a clown.

Very surreal statement, since he used to be a huge supporter hers.
