Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Wednesday said the nation owes an apology for slavery.
“As a nation — I don’t think as a president, but as a nation — we have got to apologize for slavery,” the 2016 Democratic presidential contender told host Joe Madison on Sirius XM’s “The Black Eagle.”
“As a nation we have got to apologize for slavery, and of course the president is the leader of the nation,” he added.
Sanders said that slavery had caused too much suffering to remain unaddressed.
“Obviously nobody in this generation was involved in slavery,” Sanders said.

My family owned slaves going back to the early 1700's. Are you saying I should apologize?
Blacks should be made to pay $100,000 to each who died in the Civil War. That’d be a good start to reparations.

Bernie Sanders, the 21st century version of George McGovern, needs to apologize to all Americans for being a 50 IQ socialist ape.
He also needs to apologize for the mass murdering socialists Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin.
Finally, Sanders needs to find an Esso gas station and hang himself from a bridge like his socialist buddy Mussolini.

You seem to be implying that white guilt should be determined by ancestry.
You are hearing something I ain’t saying. I have previously posted that perhaps black descendants (Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson?) of slave owners be asked if they should pay reparations as their ancestors owned slaves as well. I am merely pointing out the futility of suggesting one demographic in this country owes any other anything. To any rational person the proposal should be ridiculous on its own but these are irrational times.
What about an Amendment to the Constitution. Oh wait...nevermind.

You know, until you pointed it out I never saw it that way. I guess I should have seen how it could be taken that way. I have said that a number of times and always just meant it as “what has this to do with me” or “why should I be bothered with your frivolous accusation that whites should pay reparations”. I should apologize for the oversight. Sorry.
