Since the Supreme Courts decision in Obergefell v. Hodges that legalized marriage equality in America, some conservative Christians have been downright apoplectic. In a ridiculously offensive analogy, right wing anti-equality zealot Bryan Fischer tweeted:
Channeling a similar anger, though in a more commonly heard form, Fox News commentator Todd Starnes tweeted:
Meanwhile, Rod Dreher of the American Conservative has, in his own words, a more sober analysis of the decision on Times website:
[W]e have to accept that we really are living in a culturally post-Christian nation. The fundamental norms Christians have long been able to depend on no longer exist. To be frank, the court majority may impose on the rest of the nation a view widely shared by elites, but it is also a view shared by a majority of Americans. There will be no widespread popular resistance to Obergefell. This is the new normal.
To which the vast majority of Americans say, Hallelujah! Dreher is correctthe idea of equal treatment for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans (if not its full realization yet) is indeed the new normal in America. Even before the courts decision, 6 in 10 Americans supported the right of same-sex couples to marryand over half of Americans said they would be less likely to support any 2016 presidential candidate who opposed marriage equality.

Sorry Sally.
No deal.
Yeh. The armed forces are now gay, and if you go in, you’re liable to come out gay. Kind of like prison.
Gee, isn’t it “thoughtful” of a Secular Progressive Jew to let us know we Christians are going to be o.k.!
Superb image.
“He is able to shine his light. “
For the time being, perhaps.
I will be honest with you, I would not lay down my life for gay marriage.
Isaiah 5:20 applies. Daily Beast can learn that the easy way or the hard way.

Optimism is good, Sally. But there’s optimism, and there’s wishing away reality. Guess which one you’re doing.
Declare the opposing views as based in hate. Then ban hate speech.
Sally Kohn - not worth wasting the time of a read.....
Haha. Is that an implied “or else”? Bring it on!
We will accept their ruling like we have accepted the Roe v Wade ruling. They didn’t think that the people would resist but forty years later we are still resisting.
I am not giving the Daily Beast (seriously?) a click. But they are right about one thing: this is the new normal. America as we have known it is GONE. The queers are in control now, and they WILL punish Christians. Count on it.
I didn’t mean it lightly.
Is that an order, or is it just wishful thinking?
[W]e have to accept that we really are living in a culturally post-Christian nation.
And where there is a vacuum of power....evil rushes in.
His God can do anything. I trust yours can as well.
