If the vote is indeed “No” which I suspect it is......Greece is a failed nation, or, it will go under the Russian Federation control!!! Under Obama/Clinton, the USA is not far behind (about twenty years out). The new world power players will be: The People’s Republic of China, India & The Russian Federation. These three nations will take over the entire Middle East, South America and, Sub-Sahara, Africa. Israel will stand as a nation because the Russians, Chinese and Indians will find them a useful, productive tool for enhancing their further control of the world. The USA will literally be a slave nation to the “new’ world powers!!! The demise and defeat of the USA came from inside the USA itself....fostered by Obama & company!!! Just look at past history of once great nations...it tells the whole story!!!

Just like years ago people said IBM was finished? Let’s not be so hasty.

I’m not giving up on the US just yet, it still has some people with real money and real smarts, which puts it ahead of about 95% of the rest of the world.

Why the 'or'? At Yalta when Stalin did a head fake on FDR and Churchill to take control of most of Eastern Europe including independent nations recently re-established post WWI, he graciously deigned to have Greece remain out of the Soviet orbit. Greek being Orthodox, old Joe figured that using the Church would eventually bring Greece his way.

Greece provides Putin with a wet dream of access to the Mediterranean yielding safe and modern port facilities for his navy. Guess this is more important to Merkle than the other EU leadership who will cave if she is detoured or stopped for some reason.

I would argue that Greece should not have been part of the unified Europe/Euro from the beginning.

Taken as a whole, the Greeks lack all that is required to be a modern nation.

Could Nigeria or Zambia exist as part of Europe? Syria? no of course not

Greece has one way out - leaving the EU currency. Maggie Thatcher was smart enough to participate in the union, but keep its currency.

The rebuilding for Greece will not occur under the thumb of Brussels.

Great choice Greece!

Again, see my last post. I highly doubt Russia or China are interested in subsidizing these low-lifes. The people are worthless and there aren’t many natural resources on the land. Who would want to invest in that?
