After getting hit with a financially-crushing $135,000 fine Thursday for their decision to not bake a cake for a lesbian wedding, the owner of the Oregon "Sweetcakes by Melissa" bakery has a dire warning for Americans.
"For years, we've heard same-sex marriage will not affect anybody," Aaron Klein said in an interview with The Blaze. "I'm here firsthand to tell everyone in America that it has already impacted people."
Aaron and his wife Melissa are required to immediately write a $135,000 check to the lesbian couple they refused to bake a wedding cake for, Rachel Cryer-Bowman and Laurel Bowman-Cryer, to compensate them for emotional damages.
Aaron Klein says that Oregon Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian's order requires the couple to use "personal property" rather than only business assets to pay the vast sum and that it "has the potential to financially ruin" the family of five. Avakian "knew that full well going into this," said Klein.

I think, at the very least, all Christian bakers, photographers, wedding planners, venue owners, etc. should publicize that a certain percentage of their profits will benefit organizations which promote religious liberty. Even if they are never confronted with making a choice, it would help similar businesses.
Organizations fighting this battle include the Alliance Defense Fund, The ACLJ (American Center for Law and Justice- NOT to be confused with the Commie ACLU), and Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse fund for “Persecuted Christians, USA).
They didn’t refuse to bake the cake because of ignorance of the law. They aren’t claiming they refused to bake the cake because of ignorance of the law. Ignorance of the law has nothing to do with this. They refused to bake the cake because of their religious views.
The penalty is not just out of the park, as though it’s proportionally larger than it should be. There should be no penalty for being Christians, period. A smaller penalty would not make it right. Discounting the pain and suffering would not make it right. There is no room for compromise on this.

As I have already said ... I support these Christians and fully believe that a business owner has a right to refuse service to anyone.
I suppose he said it because it’s true. He seemed to be expressing the fact that he didn’t even know we had sunk that low. At no point did he suggest it had anything to do with their religious objection to participating in a homosexual celebration by baking a cake for the occasion. He never gave any indication that they would try to use ignorance of the law as a defense. So I still don’t understand why you’re making it an issue. He also said the state is punishing his children. That’s not his defense either, but he said it, just like he said this was the first he’d heard about the law. So what? these casual remarks have nothing to do with anything of importance.
Christians are all squawk. If they really gave a hoot, they would have raised this man’s fine and paid all his legal fees by now. In addition they would be outside the queers’ door protesting their attack on Christians.
We are now closer to a revolt than we realized.

I think there is something in the water...maybe old lead plumbing and brain damage.
Most gays have a way about them that gives them away, I am betting that many people who were tolerant of gays before, even though they didn’t approve of their lifestyle, would still go to gay owned businesses, But now, how many people are going to give the gay businesses the cold shoulder? You can wave your rainbow flags, take us to court, force your way into our traditional parades and into our schools but you cannot force us into your beauty salons, restaurants, shops or other businesses. You will know we are mad when we do not show up at your businesses.
They should drag their feet about paying this blood money. Get as much negative publicity as possible for these dykes. If they can put our names on the internet in order to intimidate us for signing a petition, this family should let everyone know the names of these two dykes. What are the police going to do, drag these people out of their homes along with their five children? Make sure the tapes go onto YouTube. If they can take pictures of cops doing their duties why not take pictures of the police or court officers who come to your door? Make them look bad.
