WOLFEBORO, New Hampshire (CNN) Mitt Romney said Saturday that Donald Trump's comments on Mexico and undocumented immigrants have hurt the Republican Party, making the 2012 presidential nominee the latest Republican to slam the billionaire over his controversial remarks.

Hey! Georgie! This administration let 30,000 criminal illegal aliens out onto our streets! Only 120+ have since committed murder, so far,,,,,,,.......
I would go OPe
ew
I would say GOPe...
Hey, Milt! Did you hear where the Oxford English dictionary just added ‘Masshole’ to their listings?
Romney has lost me on this one and I agree with you about the difference in cajones.
I agree with your comments. That’s how I see it too.
It’s a sad thing for me to realize. I never expected perfection, but they’ve gone so far in the wrong direction, it’s just not possible for me to support most of them any longer.
LOL, good one. I think you nailed it.
Thanks.
You arent alone. I just about worshiped the ground Reagan walked on. He made me believe in something when I was younger. But just like his party left him, ours left us.
But he taught us to see things as they are. Trust but verify. They threw away the trust and we verified that.
Time for a new direction. And to hell with the liberal GOP and their idiot supporters.
Can I frame that for my wall?
Almost all of the other Pub candidates and/or their supporters, financially and otherwise, are going to take potshots at Trump now, as he is so quickly rising in the polls and they are all afraid of him. A maverick who can say what he wants because he is a billionaire, and they can’t stop him in any other way than to marginalize him with personal attacks, snide remarks, impugn his integrity, make him into a clown and/or buffoon, in other words smear him and dirty him up.
With the exception of Cruz, who has gone up a big notch in my book for having not jumped on the assassinate Trump bandwagon, and has even come to The Donald’s defense. Kudo’s to Cruz. I would vote for either of them, Cruz or Trump, because they fight back.
Pound sand, you loser. The GOP is hurting the country.
Reagan was the dad even adults need to look up to.
He wasn’t perfect, but his positive attitude and intent to do things in the best interest of the United States and free world were unmistakable.
He got hoodwinked a few times. We all do. His overall impact on the nation and the world was very impressive.
I miss him. One of the sad things about Reagan, was that his age and his health prevented him from hanging around after his presidency and giving sage advice to the party on future presidents.
Look at Carter for instance. The man has been a pox on U. S. policy since 1976. How long oh Lord?
Actually, boycotting is fine. I don’t mind anyone who does that really....but I still stand behind a couple of principles:
A: That it’s case by case......
B: To equate all evil is just ridiculous.
C: Voting Republican for President in the General Elections of 08 and 12 is NOT responsible for the mess we are in.......period.
Nobody can intellectually disagree with any of those three points, and you didn’t - so I’ve got no problem with boycotting. I’ll do it less than you will perhaps, but that’s what makes the forum fun.
“Can I frame that for my wall?”
Anyone else yes, lol. You no. And don’ get too excited. I would have taken Romney with his financial expertise anyday over the Commie/pinko/Fascist/socialist Muzzie we have had in office for lo these past six years plus. I want a fighter now, and that leaves me with Cruz or Trump, or Cruz/Trump, Trump/Cruz. Either/Or.
Bush never used the bully pulpit....McCain was too stupid to know what happened in the economics crash....and Mitt was too damned scared to try and correct the record.
What the elites in our party don’t understand is that arguments NEVER GO AWAY when we refuse to engage...they only STRENGTHEN over time. The Rovian strategy is to “just get past it” - when that’s not how it works!
Love to send you my book - it’s right down your alley.
LOLOLOL.
Yeah right = Romney knows how to win elections.
That is, ONE election in Massachusetts.
FUMR.
Doesn’t matter. You saw the light.
I win ;)
Isn’t it strange the number of people on this forum who support Cruz, but think they must save FReepers from themselves?
Cruz doesn’t agree with Trump on everything, or support his extra baggage. He support Trump for what he said on these issues.
What’s more, he’s exactly right to do so. I would urge FReepers to adopt his stance, but why bother. They’re on a crusade.
He’s an excellent example of what our approach to Trump should be.
Bill Clinton got some words of appreciation from me several times during his presidency. I was not a fan of the man, but when he did accidentally get it right, I supported his views.
Do you lose by doing that? No. Good policy is good policy is good policy. You support the good policy no matter who proposes it.
What would be the point of trashing Bill Clinton in reaction to him saying one thing right?
By trashing him at that moment, you discredit what he said that was right.
Folks trashing Trump here are in essence saying, “This man is evil, don’t listen to him.” And so evil is the take-away.
No, good policy should be the take-away.
The take-away is this. “The policy Trump introduced is such sound policy that even a man like Trump sees the value in it.”
Sadly, some of my fellow FReepers are so off base on this, they can’t even see straight.
The message on immigration that Trump hawked, not even close to as important as destroying a man who agrees with them on the subject.
That’s just tragic. It doesn’t do our cause any good.
People on the internet can now say, “Trump was so off base even people on Free Republic disagree with him.”
Isn’t that just swell.
