As dozens of fans waited their turn to have a book signed, several people rose from the tables in the adjacent Starbucks and began bellowing slogans: “Undocumented, unafraid!” they yelled. “Ain’t no power like the power of the people ’cause the power of the people don’t stop!”

why can’t we have an intelligent debate on the facts of immigration with liberals?
for 50 years, we have given immigration preference to poor, illiterate, uneducated financial immigrants from non-European countries.
all this has accomplished is to swell the ranks of the poor living here on the dole. the result? we have much higher taxes, a much bigger government, higher crime rates, gangs, drugs, etc. in short, it has been a catastrophic failure. many of these people living here on taxpayer charity also despise this country.
it’s time to put an end to this nonsense and go back to the sort of immigration that made this country unique... immigration from Europe. we used to be a melting pot because new people coming here had the same cultural background. now, we’re balkanized. people from outside of Europe are not assimilating (for the most part). there will always be room here for high achievers and legitimate political refugees from places outside of Europe, but we need to restore some sanity to the immigration process. we need people who ADD to the country, not SUBTRACT from it.
just because a dumb experiment has been going on for 50 years doesn’t mean it should continue in perpetuity. it’s time to go back to the way things were. 50 years of this folly is more than enough.

What no one seems to understand here with all of these statements about call in ICE or the police, is that they will do nothing, they have all been told to stand down.

The most powerful nation in world history has surrendered to an army of ignorant, hostile, third-world invaders, showing that it is the easiest nation to conquer in world history. When the population of a nation willfully praises the agents of their subjugation, there is very little hope. As John Derbyshire once wrote, our grandchildren will one day curse us.
The only explanation I can think of is that Ann had ancestors who may have owned slaves, may have been bigots, or may have made disparaging comments about Mexican food. For this reason, everything the illegals do is deemed good, everything Ann does bad. It is a kind of international karma. Is this the reason?
