Episcopalians voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to allow religious weddings for same-sex couples, solidifying the church's embrace of gay rights that began more than a decade ago with the pioneering election of the first openly gay bishop.

Then they are done as effective witnesses for Christ. They have become apostate.
Coming soon to a Catholic Parish near you (unfortunately).
It is a Hobson’s Choice situation, where there is no fully good choice.
I thought they already did this.
Don’t they already have a bunch of lesbian “priests?”
Allow? I’m surprised it isn’t required.
Gays should be encouraged to join and leave the rest alone.
In a few years they’ll be worshiping a phallic symbol, the last of the true believers in God will find new homes in other churches.
They have been apostate for some time now. And the ELCA in full communion with them.
Not sure. But what I have noticed is that denominations that allow women pastors tend to be liberal. Imagine.
Wow!
The Christians in Name Only probably outnumber the Real Church by 100 to 1!
I think Judgement is right around the corner.
Nope, never, unless it it by some renegade priest, and it would be invalid anyway. The Church has definitively ruled it out over and over again. The Catholic Church will be the last one standing on this, if the Lord don’t come before then.
This is indicative of the “Christian” world, and the world’s perception of Christianity. Satan was unable to destroy Christianity, so he did the next best thing. He flooded the world with counterfeits.
Thank you, that says it all, perfectly.
I grew up Episcopalian but I haven’t been inside the Church in almost 30 years and now never. That last Presiding Bishop, the woman, did it for me. She was so Left it was revolting.
In my opinion the church’s embracing the Gay Marriage stand are certainly going to lose a number of members that do not believe in that and vehemently oppose it. That goes for all church’s that do this.
Tell you what....we’re certainly seem to be in the birth pangs don’t we?
We’ve been in the birth pang phase for decades IMHO.
One day very soon this will happen:
1 Thessalonians 5:1-3
1Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3While people are saying, Peace and safety, destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
No its not.
I know and know of priests who are willing to die and will do so happily before ever marrying homosexuals.
By the way the main reason that many churches will allow Gay Marriage will be to keep their Tax Exempt Status.
Nope, never, unless it it by some renegade priest, and it would be invalid anyway.
It wouldn’t be invalid until the renegade priest’s boss says so...in other words, the Church structure would have to act on it, and based on their laissez-faire attitude to the excesses of Vatican II implementation, who knows what would happen...
Did Jesus have any words on being gay?
