Democratic voters are skeptics this summer.
They doubt presidential contenders can deliver favored reforms from Washington, no matter how enticing the policy agendas sound. Those doubts depress enthusiasm about next years White House contest and could impact turnout for the eventual Democratic nominee.
Those were among early warnings in a survey released Monday of likely 2016 voters, sponsored by Democracy Corps and Womens Voices, Women Vote Action Fund.
Americans want change and reforms, but people dont think any of this is going to happen, Stan Greenberg, chairman and CEO of polling firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, said during a reporter roundtable organized by the Christian Science Monitor.
Their skepticism doesnt turn on the idea of a Democratic nominee who would follow a two-term Democrat, President Obama. Its because the old political system is uniquely corrupted in their eyes, Greenberg said. What matters is how deep the critique people have about whats happening in the country, both politically and economically.
Voters define corruption as money in politics and Washington power brokers who are self-serving and disconnected from everyday Americans and their concerns. This is why Clintons wealth, the Clinton Foundations fundraising, her decades lived as a VIP, and her missing emails discourage some voters from accepting the leading Democratic candidate as trustworthy, even if they favor the economic and social policies she stakes out.
Overall, the survey found that voters are evenly divided when asked if Democrats or Republicans would do a better job cleaning up the mess in government (31 percent each).
In the survey, respondents expressed more favorable feelings about Obama than about Clinton (by eight percentage points), but Clinton is basically matching Obamas 2012 support among the key elements of the partys base, and shes outpacing his support among white unmarried women.

English Translation: Democrats are relying on Obama's flood of illegal aliens to vote early and often.
That’s why we have to get a real conservative this time.
If we get a yawn candidate like McCain or Jeb Bush, a lot of conservatives will stay home.
Polling’s been discredited in the last few elections (including the recent one in the UK).
They’ll have to come up with new methods if they’re going to accurately predict the 2016 elections.
Of course, the other side of polling is to use it as propaganda rather than prediction.
That pretty much sums it up. Odungheap is currently seeking to implement Overtime policies which will FORCE businesses to hire CHEAPER labor.. An enticement to replace EVEN MORE American workers with Mexicans and Central Americans. This is one giant Mexi-magnet to attract even more workers here WHO WILL ALSO BE BUSSED TO VOTING PRECINCTS WHERE THEY’LL VOTE MORE THAN ONCE.
P.S. I’m still wondering about Trump, but if he keeps talking about REAL dangers facing American citizens that no other candidate has the B*LLS to talk about, he can become a frontrunner. Stay tuned..
They won’t turn out the vote for a white elitist, no matter whether her spouse was the first black POTUS.
I doubt he’ll become the frontrunner, but if he gains strength others will need to follow suit to separate themselves from the RINO’s. Ted Cruz is already in agreement, whereas Marco Rubio already sees a pathway for citizenship for illegals.
I’m considering Scott Walker as well. He could also become a frontrunner. I think he and Cruz are genuine.
Both will be formidable as Walker knows how to win against liberals, and Cruz can dominate an argument/debate sans teleprompter. And both don’t suffer liberatti easily...
That's what those 30,000,000 "unaccompanied children" are for.
You don't seriously believe they won't be voting just because is it illegal for them to vote, do you?
That's so racist.
Oh hogwash. The same precincts in Cleveland and Philly will have 110% turnout as they did in 2012.
The Supremes ruled yesterday that people don’t have to provide proof of citizenship when registering to vote, so yes, the Democrats are planning an all out assault to retain power.
