The Blaze reports that former CIA head Michael Morell said today he wouldnt be surprised if theres a terrorist attack in the United States over the upcoming Fourth of July weekend.
The FBI and Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin Friday warning of heightened concerns over potential terrorist attacks during the holiday weekend. ABC News reported that the bulletin said Independence Day could appear to extremists to defame the Prophet Muhammad and would likely result in threats or plans to conduct violent extremist acts. The bulletin also warned government and military officials to be cautious of their social media posts over the weekend.
Former CIA Deputy Director Morell told CBS This Morning that while such warnings go out routinely, theres nothing routine about this particular one to me.
I wouldnt be surprised if were sitting here a week from today talking about an attack over the weekend in the United States. Thats how serious this is.
Morell noted that there have been some 50 people arrested in the U.S. within the last year with some tie or allegiance to the Islamic State group, which has also issued a call to arms during Ramadan:
Theres a lot of people out there who are seeing themselves as aligned with ISIS. Number two, you have this ISIS call to arms during Ramadan. We are right in the middle of Ramadan, call to arms, conduct attacks against our enemies, so Im worried about this one.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest said today that there are no credible threats on Fourth of July celebrations this weekend.
Bingo!
“Exactly how would our Independence Day be seen to defame the prophet Mohammad ?”
It appears the FBI, and I expect the NSA, too, thinks an attack would happen this week before July 4th. The reason being one day this week is the one year anniversary of ISIS coming together and declaring they are ISIS and a caliphate to spread Islam across the world.
US Rep. King said on Fox last night he is more worried about this week than any time since 9/11.
“Yea my guess is gay marriage really got them going after their failed attack in Texas.”
I live about 30 min. from Garland where we killed the two terrorists. We will be staying close to home from now through Saturday, the 4th.
“The Rainbow house is begging for us to get get hit. Tragic. The Rainbow House is disgusting.”
When I saw the rainbow White House I instantly became nauseous and turned away from it. I have the same gut turning feeling every time they show that.
I’m with you, think that rainbow set up a hit on this country - God is not pleased.
True. But we are talking about a group that did a blitzkreik across Iraq in a long cconvoy of pickup trucks.
Latest info on Facebook is the person who sent the alert to militia and Patriot groups is a known FBI informant who has a history of causing strife in groups. Oh well. Always a good idea to stay alert around fireworks lol.
