The Blaze reports that former CIA head Michael Morell said today he “wouldn’t be surprised” if there’s a terrorist attack in the United States over the upcoming Fourth of July weekend.
The FBI and Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin Friday warning of heightened concerns over potential terrorist attacks during the holiday weekend. ABC News reported that the bulletin said Independence Day could appear to extremists to defame the Prophet Muhammad and would “likely result in threats or plans to conduct violent extremist acts.” The bulletin also warned government and military officials to be cautious of their social media posts over the weekend.
Former CIA Deputy Director Morell told CBS’ This Morning that while such warnings go out routinely, ”there’s nothing routine about this particular one to me.”
I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re sitting here a week from today talking about an attack over the weekend in the United States. That’s how serious this is.
Morell noted that there have been some 50 people arrested in the U.S. within the last year with some tie or allegiance to the Islamic State group, which has also issued a “call to arms” during Ramadan:
There’s a lot of people out there who are seeing themselves as aligned with ISIS. Number two, you have this ISIS call to arms during Ramadan. We are right in the middle of Ramadan, call to arms, conduct attacks against our enemies, so I’m worried about this one.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest said today that there are no credible threats on Fourth of July celebrations this weekend.
Exactly how would our Independence Day be seen to defame the prophet Mohammad ? A lot of countries have national Independence days. We have had one every year for the past couple of hundred. Is he saying Muslims are aligned with British Royalty ? Trying to make sense of the US government appears to be a fools errand.

With all the attacks, worldwide in the past year, I think it is very suspect that we haven’t been hit.
Well if that is the case, then on July 5th the firings at DHS should start with the DHS Director and all sub-agency directors. They’ve got hundreds of billions of dollars and ease drop on everyone so if they can’t do their jobs they need to be fired or impeached immediately.
After last week, fully expected.
We’re all encouraged to come out for the gay parade.
We’re being told to stay home cowering in fear on the 4th.
Unless they use a large utterly debilitating nuke...attacking the US....would be MOST unwise indeed...July 4 or EVER!!
Well, let’s hope they attack something that’s not very important to us....like any big city.
If it happens the First Regiment of the Gay brigade should lead the counter offensive. They will chase the ISIS radicals away with thier Butt-plug flags.

I’d be surprised if ISIS or any other terrorist group ever attacks the United States while Obama is in office. Obama and the left are already doing a better job destroying the country then any piddly attack could.

Actually, the word “Terrorist” is a neuro-linguistic pejorative term for an unconventional warrior.

Remember one other thing. It is almost impossible to defeat the guerrilla in the field. The classic cases are Vietnam, and the American Revolution. In each case, the warriors in the field depended on external logistic support.
Vietnam ended when we hit Hanoi in Linebacker II. We dropped 500 and 750 lbs bombs, and they caught them, and it didn’t take long to see who got tired of it tired first.
Yorktown was won when the French fleet standing offshore prevented the Brits from being evacuated by sea.
The bottom line is we cannot defeat the guerrilla in the field. We cannot guard every shopping mall, power station, airport, etc. Imagine 6 ragheads with body armor and AKs vs. 3 unarmed mall security guards at your local mall.
We win this when we make it too “expensive” for those who support the terrs to continue it.

I would stay away now. Sitting ducks for the Muslim CIC and his brotherhood.
The trigger will be offending Muslims. Maybe the CIA has another movie in the can for Obama to excuse the next attack.
