We're not in Kansas anymore Dorothy. If you practice your Christian faith, get ready for persecution.

On the other hand, removing their tax exempt status frees churches to openly campaign for politics. Candidates can appear there, and church leaders can advocate policy positions. Parishioners can choose the church that best fits their beliefs and donate or tithe there.

Religious voting with their money.

It won’t be 6 weeks before a church or pastor is in court because of his beliefs.

Christianity thrives under persecution. God knows this.

Liberals are insane. Homosexuals are the most insane of liberals. They will not be content to know that there is any group of people who frown upon their abominable lifestyle. They will keep attacking us until Christianity is outlawed. Either we stand for ourselves now, or there will be nothing left to stand for.

Socialism always come for the churches. And it always winds up a bloody affair. Look at Russia. Look at Spain. Look at the Cristero war in Mexico. Everywhere socialism comes to power they begin by murdering the religious.

Offering plate money is not exempt because of IRS law. It is untouchable because of the first amendment.

There is a legal case that can be made for ‘deductions’, but there isn’t a constitutional case that can be made for donations to God. That belongs to God. Therefore, it is entirely outside the realm of government.

If an oriental Buddhist leave a basket of food before an idol of Buddha, does the government get 2 of the bananas and 3 of the apples?

In my opinion this is the best thing that could EVER happen to the church!

It will FREE them to take political stands and make the church a force to be reckoned with again.

If there’s no 1st Amendment in their world, slam them in jail for this idiocy. See how they like it.

They don’t need “tax exempt” 501c3 listing in the first place to be tax exempt. They never were subject to it in the first place and getting it makes them contractual subjects of Nanny G with all the baggage that entails.

Besides, church is supposed to be about God, and accepting his Son, not building a religious empire while trying to game Ceasars revenue system...

A couple of years ago I was told that gays in the military was no big deal. One freeper told me it was a “big nothing burger”. Well We went from debasing the military to the church in about 3 years. So is this a big nothing burger too?

The IRS has already attacked Conservative groups, and the people behind it will never be held accountable. The Left doesn’t need the formality of a new law to go after churches.

True churches know they have been under attack and are now in battle, and will speak truth to lies, regardless of consequences. Hopefully many authentic men in them will arise with strength as Christian soldiers.

Rainbow churches will, of course, gag their pastors, blackout certain passages in their pew bibles and celebrate sodomy.

Not being pickey but I think it was, “Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.”

As far as persecution, I love the book of Esther and how it ends.

If homosexuals can force a church to marry them under the fear of losing the tax exemption or descrimination suit, can they also force what the pastor says?

Suppose the marriage ceremony was a sermon on the evils of homosexuality as sited by the scriptures with the final question put the the participants,

“In your sin, do you still want to do be an abomination before God?”
“I do.” “I do.”
“You may now suck the face of the groom-bride, whatever.”

I don’t think the Left really wants churches to be taxed. For one, that would remove the requirement of politics not being promoted/discussed in churches.
