Washington (CNN)—Presidential candidate Donald Trump touched on a wide range of issues in an interview aired Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union," including his continued support for traditional marriage, immigration issues with Mexico and his desire to bring outsourced jobs back to the U.S.

Trump's recent comments on undocumented immigrants from Mexico has led to Univision deciding not to air the Miss Universe pageant, which is co-owned by Trump and NBC Universal. Trump has since said he intends to sue Univision.

Trump stands by immigration remarks, blames media

On Sunday, Trump doubled-down on his plan to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexican border.

"I like Mexico. I love the Mexican people. I do business with the Mexican people, but you have people coming through the border that are from all over. And they're bad. They're really bad," he told CNN's Jake Tapper.

"You have people coming in, and I'm not just saying Mexicans, I'm talking about people that are from all over that are killers and rapists and they're coming into this country," he maintained.

The real estate mogul revisited his socially conservative views on abortion and marriage with awareness that they are difficult for many to understand given his personal history.

"I'm (for) traditional marriage," he said.

When asked how Trump reconciles the notion of "traditional marriage" with his personal history of being married three times and divorced twice, Trump conceded the point.

"I have a good wife now," Trump said. "My (first) two wives were very good. And I don't blame them, but I was working ... 22 hours a day."

Trump, who in his presidential announcement said he'd be the "best jobs president that God ever created," emphasized the need to get more Americans back to work.

It’s good to see a candidate that is not chicken $hit to speak his mind.

I guess the rest of the politicians are sticking their fingers in the air trying to figure out which way the wind is blowing?

So if he is such a braveheart, why no statement on the Supreme Court Gay Marriage ruling?

LOL. Trump has a bad habit of speaking before he thinks and then trying to bail himself out. I can relate having said things like that and then quickly try to explain & make it go away. But then I am not running for President of the United States.

Yea, like in that same interview where he stated he was "Pro-Choice" and the interviewer had to remind him he was "Pro-Life".

Apparently, morals and values are not important anyway to be President. Just ask BO.

Trump is just getting started. We don’t know where his candidacy is going. But thus far I’m very impressed with the forthright way he speaks about taboo subjects. Not your typical Republi-coward.

He totally dodged the gay marriage question, by talking about his wives.

Trump was supporting full gay equal rights and gays in the military, many years ago, along with full civil unions for them.

Pro-abortion, pro-gay military, anti-gun, whats not to like for non-conservatives?

It's interesting that not once has Donald Trump maned-up and taken a position publicly either for or against the Supreme Court ruling making Gay Marriage constitutional.

Like his supporting abortion and disagreeing with the GOP's pro-life platform?

Let us see what other candidates are saying about illegals....

Bush wants to show “love” to all illegals and keep them all.

Cruz wants to deport no illegals and increase H1-B visa FIVE TIMES greater, and pushed hard for Pacific Trade Pact, bigger killer of middle class jobs than NAFTA ever was.

Walker was for letting them stay before he is now against it.

Rubio is La Raza. Nuff said. And voted to move Pacific Trade Pact forward.

Compared to all of above Trump’s position to deport leachers, free loaders, non-productive and criminals is preferrable & realistic. Only the most productive, who have not been a burden on Tax Payers should be allowed to stay, if any. Trump thinks like a businessman.

The professional politicians like Rubio & Cruz & Walker will always throw middle class under the bus when ordered by their sugar daddy rich donors.

Just ask yourself what has NAFTA achieved. No factories came from Mexico to USA. But a slew of factories were moved to Mexico from USA by the rich sugar daddy’s. Factory jobs are middle class jobs.

Pacific rim countries like Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar etc are very low wage countries. Why are the professional politicians in favor of repeating NAFTA mistake? Only one reason...they are in pockets of their rich donors.

Maybe he will keep these issues on the burners, forcing the other candidates to deal with them.

Since when Caitlyn Jenner a bigger issue than 93 million unemployed, middle class jobs being exported to Asia, Obamacare, and stupid trade pacts all over the world with trade deficits with 90% of them?

GeronL asked a valid question, and your non response was a terribly clumsy evasion.

Trump has been wanting a gay military for years, did he do what GeronL thinks, in regard to promoting Jenner?

93 million unemployed while 15 million are wondering why illegals have their jobs, but Trump says the illegals with illegal jobs can keep them. Keeping Americans unemployed.

This interview was recorded for last week’s show but they preempted it for a funeral for of one of the alleged dead in Charleston.
