BREAKING: UN Makes Huge Move to ARREST Benjamin Netanyahu
Conservative Tribune ^ | 6/25/15 | ??

A report released by the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva on Tuesday called for alleged Israeli war criminals like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be arrested and tried for having led attacks against Palestinian civilians.

Orders for the report to be prepared were initially given on July 23, 2014, just 16 days into the 2014 Israel-Gaza conflict that started when Hamas began firing rockets into Israel. It also named as its start date June 13 — the day after Palestinian thugs kidnapped and murdered three Israeli teenagers.

Nothing unusual is going on. The UN or some Brit group is forever ‘indicting’ Isareli leaders and threatening them with arrest. While these threats should be taken seriously, this is just blogger doom porn if they claim something new or different is going on recently.

Due process? So they're protected by our Constitution?

I think you may be looking through the wrong end of the binoculars. The main purpose of the U.S. Constitution is to set out a framework of laws that the U.S. government is supposed to abide by.

Yes, but they represented and spoke for him. It was by Hirohito’s orders that Japan surrendered. The people had never heard his voice until he went on the radio and told them to stand down.

Symbolism.

Whether they carried swords or not, in the ancient traditions, that’s what they did on her deck, even if it was only with the steel of a pen’s nib.

Yea, a complicit CiC won’t do the Job. It be nice if some of the Brass remembered their oaths, though.

Stuff like this won’t end until a discreet example is made of the head of the Human Rights Council.

The Rockefellers were the prime movers to bring the United Nations into the US. The Rockefellers are the ones with enablers keeping it the US. From WWII there has been nefarious groups which want the US to be subservient to international powers. The US has not had a real sincere POTUSA since Reagan who also had to play to the tune of internationalists such as the Bush family including their proxy family member by the name of Clinton, Bill that is. I don’t see/realize any of the GOP candidates that I would trust our Constitution to be honored. Even the SC now can rule on whim instead of Constitutional declarations for substantiation of decisions.

True. Netanyahu and previous Israeli leaders have had headaches with the UN before Obama and they'll have them after him as well.

To our citizens yes. Would we fall under, say, the French Constitution if they get mad at us for some reason? Do you think they would first ask themselves if what they were doing was right to protect their country? I don’t think our troops read the Miranda warning to those they were fighting.

They sort of did it against Bush. I suppose if Bibi left Israel on a trip somewhere the UN would arrest him? Does the UN have a police force? Interpol perhaps? The UN is a joke.

And Yasir Arafat got a Nobel peace prize.

Imho, the excrement is going to hit the oscillating blades soon.

It won't be pretty. Buckle up...

You have completely missed my point. The Constitution is not about who it protects it is about what it restrains. The government. I have no idea if the French constitution is written that way.

It’s all a moot academic point anyway. The rule of law is deader than a door nail now.

No they have no authority to arrest the leader of a sovereign nation. Plus good luck getting past the Mossad to get to him. :-)

The UN just posturing again. It’s made up of over a hundred representatives of countries that are ruled by despots.

Sounds like a good book title but that line isn’t in our Constitution.

According to your logic the French gov. is free to drone strike U.S. citizens on U.S. soil. Is that right?

It’s in the oath of office. As for the French, they can give it a try I suppose. Are we a threat to France? Are there people who are killing their citizens and then running back here? Your argument, you defend it.

Yep. Not sure he will play that card unless he has to. Bibi seems to be treading very carefully since he all alone in the world. Virtually no one is a trustful ally.

It’s in the oath of office.

Which doesn't absolve a president or any other officer of the FedGov from obeying the law. There are laws regarding how and when enemies, foreign and domestic, can be engaged.

Are we a threat to France? Are there people who are killing their citizens and then running back here? Your argument, you defend it.

Actually it was your argument. When you say 'we' you must mean the country of the U.S.A. which is a non-sequitur to the original point of killing individuals in foreign countries that we are not at war with so that is irrelevant.

You are reacting emotionally to legal questions which is exactly what SCOTUS did twice last week. That is exactly why the rule of law is now dead and irrelevant. No one cares about it anymore so why should the President or the Judicial Branch follow it?
