Republican candidate Donald Trump says he "felt bad" after being "too rough" on Jeb Bush in his campaign announcement this week.
"I think he's a nice person. I actually felt bad because I hit him very hard one day like two days ago, three days ago, and I said, why am I hitting him so hard?" Trump told CNN's Jake Tapper in an interview set to air Sunday during "State of the Union."
Trump grilled many of his Republican competitors this week in his announcement speech, dropping the politeness and subtler digs most other politicians stick to and he delivered his sharpest hits on Bush.

On reflection, the grandiose billionaire told Tapper he might have gone too far knocking Bush.
"I actually saw myself a couple of days ago and I said that's, that's too rough. Because I really think he's a nice man, I think he's a wonderful man.

Why should he feel bad about trying to get Hillary voted into office?
Someone reminded the Donald that the Bush ties run deep in the CIA. Best to be mannerly.
Trump will support the most liberal candidate when he drops out
Trump will say anything if he thinks it’ll put a camera in front of him. He should learn to juggle.
George HW Bush was a political appointee for what, less than a year, at the CIA. I doubt he has any ties to the CIA.
Much deeper than most people would ever guess.
A turd in the punch bowl of a (mostly) great field. You’d think the Democrats would be the ones to fall for circus acts in their field. I don’t remember Al Sharpton ever polling high.
Happy Clown..Sad Clown...that is Donald Trump. Bozo.
Acting like a “pussy” don’t make him any where near vaginal..
What Trump was saying is Jeb is a “nice man a wonderful man” but what he was implying is Jeb can’t take the heat.
This came out seven days ago, and Trump has continued to bash Bush since then.
Where? I only heard him bashing the confederate flag and bragging about hiring illegals.
If you haven’t watch this recent video of Trump on Fox News, watch it.
It’s worth the watch.
BTW, you’re correct, they’re posting insignificant news which is days old.
Watch this!
CNN - June 25 - Headline:
Donald Trump: Jeb Bush weak on immigration
Who employs more illegal immigrants?
That shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. Trump changes what he says on daily basis. He will say anything. But you can’t trust what he says.
When he drops out of the race he will probably endorse Jeb, like he did Romney for 2012.
I think and know a few things which point otherwise. A decade from now it may no longer be the case, but right now there are a lot of seasoned intel folks who hold Bush (Sr.) in very high regard. Much of it has to do with international affairs and not being a modern era opportunist politician. Understanding the hard work and how easily it can be undone by politicians. Bush (sr) was not like that.
