WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court ruled that the Constitution provides same-sex couples the right to marry in a historic triumph for gay rights.
-snip-
Justice Anthony Kennedy, writing on behalf of the court, said that the hope of gay people intending to marry "is not to be condemned to live in loneliness, excluded from one of civilization's oldest institutions. They ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. The Constitution grants them that right."

Meanwhile, straight people will shack up because gays convinced them its ok and marriage is just a piece of paper.
Oh and people with values are condemned for standing firm.
I wonder what horrible judgement this country will endure for embracing sin.

My copy of the Constitution must be old. I can’t find the part that gives the federal government the power to regulate marriage.
Founding father’s facepalm...
Your copy is old like mine.
This country is dead. Flags need to be at half-mast to mourn its passing.
We won’t have our Flag much longer. Or your guns or your 401K, IRA etc etc etc.
I won't
Yes, I would believe it, unfortunately, and am aware of the ‘domestic’ violence these people commit against their partners - so much so that the federal law was amended to include them for specific protection. They demand treatment for their immediate ‘problem’ at the ER and will not even let you talk to them about the damaging underlying mental (moral) pathology. daniel1212 chronicles this horrible situation very well in Post 131.
Statistics about promiscuous sex do no good unless you dig deeply to identify those at the greatest risk for disease. When you do that, the PC police kick in and make everyone shut up and think we are all at equal risk - just not true unless you start behaving in the promiscuous way most homosexuals do (sex addiction is their pathology). Are white homosexuals as prone as black homosexuals or Hispanics (or any other particular ethnic group) to have HIV/AIDS?
I would just add that we need to be bolder in describing what gays do, that this is not an Ozzie & Harriet situation. Homosexuals can never “lie with man like a woman” and vice versa unless that man/woman is a transgender. So, let’s call a spade a spade. You can’t get AIDS man to man unless you are engaging in anal sex. Normal vaginal sex is not the way women are getting it from their bisexual partner. Lesbians are giving their girlfriends incurable diseases, too, because of their promiscuity, not just with other women, but men, too. So, we have a fine kettle of fish here for which there is no political solution. God’s rules were meant to protect us and help us enjoy our lives. This is a War for people’s souls.
Hey Tony, in case you didn't get the memo, they're demanding a whole hell of a lot more than that now.
That is exactly their next step and the next leftist shoe to fall on our heads. They've already been discussing doing it. This latest USSC ruling just makes it official re: their ability to go 'forward' with their plans and agenda to destroy the church in America. They will never, however, be able to destroy Christianity in America, no matter how hard they may try.
>>> It is not surprising that a court which yesterday decided it could write law decided today that it could play God.
Epic post!... worth repeating!..
Again and again and again.
Had Bork or Douglas Ginsburg been confirmed, it is possible that Kennedy would have ended up on the Court anyhow—when Brennan retired and Bush 41 ended up picking Souter (who retired young and was replaced by Sotomayor). Had that occurred, Kennedy still would be around, but would be the fourth vote for liberals (or 6th vote for conservatives), and Robers would be the 5th vote. That would mean no Obamacare (Kennedy voted to strike it down, and it likely would have been struck down 6-3 since Roberts wouldn’t have wasted his time on his “tax” rewriting) just to have it struck down 5-4 instead of 6-3), and both laws limiting marriage to one man and one woman and laws prohibiting abortion would have beeb upheld. Thanks, Arlen Specter.
BTW, remember that lawsuit brought by the Arizona GOP Legislature to declare unconstitutional the state’s redistricting commission that had not been created by the legislature? I was very bullish on the legislature’s chance of success at SCOTUS, but sadly I now must predict that Ruth Bader Ginsburg will write the Opinion of the Court in that case, and that it will declare that when Art. I, Sec. 4, cl. 1 of the U.S. Constitution says that the “times, places and manner of holding elections for ... Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the legislature thereof” the word “legislature” means “the legislature plus any commission created by the voters via referendum against the wishes of the legislature.” Because, you know, the word “legislature” is “vague.”
The reason why I’m almost certain that Ginsburg will write the opinion is because she has not written any opinions from the February sitting, and the only other Justice not to have authored a majority opinion from that sitting (Kennedy) almost certainly had been assigned the opinion in Kerry v. Din but couldn’t get the other 4 to sign on to his opinion (which is why the case had a fractured majority, with Scalia writing for 3 Justices and Kennedy writing for 2 and concurring in the judgment). This really sucks; I was hoping for a big victory for conservatives in the AZ case that could lead to future victories getting rid of FL’s retarded “fair districts” constitutional amendment.
Amerika is done. Toast. Finished. The LORD Jesus Christ will see too it. I pray that if YOU do not know Him, that you will quickly seek Him out. These last days are not going to be pretty for this country. Nor for those that do not know Him. Many do not, and this is also among some professing Christians, do not believe in the Rapture of the Church. However, the Bible is CRYSTAL CLEAR of the Rapture of the Church. 1st Thessalonians and 1st Corinthians both speak of it. And DON'T all for that old "the word Rapture is not in the Bible." It is, but not as the word Rapture. The Bible says "caught away", as in snatched out. In the Greek that phrase is "Harpazo". Harpazo is translated in the Latin as "Rapturo". THAT translates into RAPTURE in the English. So, YES, it is there.
Friends, this world is rapidly going exactly the way the Bible said it would. The Bible spoke of a one world government, one world religion, 3,000 years ago before it was popular in our days. Exactly what the Bible said would be coming, is here. So, days of this world are numbered. There are SEVEN horrible years are on the way for this world. You do not want to be here to experience them.
Seek Him out today. Now. Before it is too late. God is going to judge this nation. It is not going to be pretty. Already He is punishing this nation with weather related thing. No rain where rain is needed. Much rain where it is not needed. Seek Him now.
probably
good point
Kennedy let Roberts off the hook, that’s all.
How true that is and few who understand that they are for just that.....
I also agree with the rest of your post. Some truly nasty happenings occur among the gay community...though they clamor it's all about “Love” what they do and practice is anything but that.
As for trans-genders having sex...it's my understanding that even when a male has surgery the vaginal area is not positioned as with normal woman...for the fact of his own appendage being tucked. Further that even though a clitoris is fabricated form the penis the sensitivity isn't what most expect so they are disillusioned after having surgery. Might be another reason Bruce Jenner isn't going to have the surgery...though I believe he's not transgender, rather enjoys the sexual stimulation he gets imagining himself and dressing as a woman...which is a sexual deviant...something his ego won't allow him to admit...so easier to say he's a Trans.
Jenner is a very disturbed individual- says he has always had sex with women and will continue to have sex with women. If he doesn’t plan to have his penis cut off, then what we have here is a guy in drag- that’s all, folks.
Exactly but with sexual gratification when he dresses as so or imagines himself to be a woman.
Keep in mind there were several times as Jenner went through some of the physical surgeries of this transition he claims he said...’What am I doing to myself”...and then “What have I done to myself”.
A true Transgender does not say that....so yes he's one very disturbed individual and the novelty will wear off and he's likely to be suicidal or suffer great depression.
It's in the 28th Amendment, which is written in invisible ink and can be seen only if you have special DNC glasses.
