The ruling by SCOTUS now legalizing homosexual marriage opens a very dangerous door.
The church will be attacked next....and very soon. Mark my words. There will be text cases where homosexual "couples" will go to conservative Bible believing churches and ask to be married there.
They will be denied, hopefully, and then the church will be sued for denying Constitutional rights. Will the pastor go to jail? Will the church lose its tax exempt status?
It has been the goal of the homosexual community to have the stigma of their lifestyle as accepted by the church.
Satan is moving fast.
Christians....get on your knees and be in fervent prayer.
You are SOOOO right. The Catholic Church quit expressing animosity towards other Christians years ago. (not that they weren’t guilty....I had a Lutheran great-grandmother who was treated like absolute sh*t by the Church, to their eternal disgrace)
Nor do I hear fellow Catholics saying nasty things about our Protestant brothers and sisters (save for a few on the whacko fringe).
That is not a two-way street apparently.
MOSQUES? - I doubt it; not if they keep their heads about them.
Let the state issue the license. Let a pastor/priest perform a Consecration service.
If the churches are smart that is exactly what they will do.
“Plenty of gay people go to church.”
If they are members in good standing of your congregation who don’t get offended by your preaching then shut and marry them.
I’m sure most gay people go to commie liberal churches that already do marry them.
No. 2 reasons...the plan is to stop Christianity AND they are really just a bunch of chicken-s**ts. They go to a mosque to further the agenda and who knows which head might be severed?
Go to a MOSQUE - I dare them!
The only solution is for churches to announce they no longer perform marriage ceremonies.
I agree. This is the time for all churches to band together and announce they are no longer involved in any aspect of the marriage business. Any other approach would be discriminatory.
You can be sure, strategy and targets have already been chosen expecting the church to discriminate.
“Violent revolt?”
There will be no brave patriot army for us to cheer on in battle or anywhere else. But oh, how I wish there were That’s how America came into being; a violent revolt against a tyrannical government. But today, if it can’t be done with a keyboard it isn’t an option.
Today has brought my hopes for better times in this nation to an end. Now, all I’ll be doing is looking up, watching and waiting for the only One who can save me and my family.
Churches can stop issuing marriage licenses if this becomes a problem.
In fact I bet that the courts take away this ability soon.
Im sure most gay people go to commie liberal churches that already do marry them.
The gays who are discussing strategy and targets right now, as we post, aren’t even church goers. They are radical leftist determined to destroy religious belief, PERIOD!
It has little to do with worship or churchgoing and everything to do with the radical gay agenda.
Fight what? it's over. The homo's will laugh at the sign.
..and those who chose NOT to vote in 2012 and those who claim to not have the time to protest. I have seen the problem and it is all of US! (not yelling at you NKP_Vet)
Good thing we didn’t elect Romney. .
Get ready to strike down the first amendment
Do you really think that people don’t want their marriage to be legal?
No one makes people seek to make their marriage legal, they could have followed your advice in 1950 or 1850 or 2010, or 1810, no one cares if you don’t legalize your marriage, but normal people don’t want to live like that.
For instance, in the military you are just a single person, unless you show them that you are legally married to someone.
Would you want to be in the military with a wife and a few kids, and them not be recognized as your family?
What about the ending of marriages?
My statement that gays go to commie churches was in response to someone saying that “lots of gays go to church”. I only know one gay person and she does go to church and she did pick a church that doesn’t challenge her wide variety of bad life choices. I have no way of knowing what percentage of gays do go to church but I feel like those that do attend church attend some commie liberal watered down church.
The question is how do churches survive the obvious next step of the gay agenda? If you think of marriage as divine sacrament then the idea that you should marry any heathen leftist off the street doesn’t fit in very well with that even if they are straight. Catholic churches had to deal with this years ago, yuppy, heathen, leftists kept coming in wanting to get married in the pretty church. I say set up rules that set some standard for you only marrying real committed members of your congregation.
You can refuse to do a wedding for a non-member. That happens all the time.
I forgot about Mitt Romney when I made that statement. He was the father of queer marriage in Mass and would have said he approved it the same way Obama did.
That is why there will be churches who will simply quit the tax-exempt status in order to protect themselves.
