Ohio Gov. John Kasich says it's not practical or humane to deport the millions of immigrants who are in the United States illegally.
"I'm not for putting them on a school bus, driving them to the border, opening the door and just telling them to get out," Kasich told reporters.
He favors fines for those here illegally but said Republicans need to show more compassion toward immigrants and minorities, as well as more sensitivity on the environment.
Kasich says he'll decide soon whether to enter the 2016 race.

Screw you John!!
“It just keeps on getting worse and worse. I just want to crawl under the bed and never come out.”
It’s much more fun to just drink.
Got to hand it to the GOP guys, they know how to destroy their chances of winning before they ever get started.
The solution is so simple.
Anyone caught employing an illegal will be fined $50,000 per illegal per day employed.
The border agents would have to be paid hazard pay to keep from getting trampled from illegals self-deporting.
This guy is a Dead Head. Literally.
RINO alert!
Biggest joke in the field, this guy.
Amateur hour is over, eh, John ? Yeah. You’re a professional asshole.
“Ohio Gov. John Kasich says it’s not practical or humane to deport the millions of immigrants who are in the United States illegally.”
So you fool, it is humane to impoverish and destroy the country by not doing it.
Kasich and Jeb are in alignment.
Maybe he’ll dilute the pro-amnesty vote: Bush, then Rubio; now Kasich.
With a population a bit under half the size it is now, we managed to transport 400k troops from the ETO back to the US in Nov 45. But, then again, that’s when we had a country.
I hope he runs. Fewer votes for Jeb!
I hope he runs and takes a few votes from flabby Jeb.
Is kasich running against Hillary in the primaries??
Kasich is a loser, coward. Stay in Ohio. We don’t want you back in DC.
Only people with guts and balls, not PCisms and surrender-monkey policies.
Another clown about to jump in the clown car.
Well John, I suggest you stay out.
Johnny Boy is on my “no thanks” list. Pretty high on it actually, he’s like Jeb Bush without the poison name.
That took a while to flush.
We have a few really good candidates. In the past, I’ve had trouble finding more than one, so I’m reasonably optimistic.
Just hope the GOP primary people vote wisely, and don’t take their lead from the GOP-E.
