In a blistering dissent from the majority in King v. Burwell this morning, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said President Obama’s signature domestic policy achievement should be called “SCOTUScare” rather than Obamacare, in light of how many times Chief Justice John Roberts has intervened to protect the law from a crippling legal defeat.
Scalia argued that Roberts rewrote the law twice in 2012, and has now done so a third time in his King decision, which allows the IRS to continue providing subsidies to people who purchase insurance in the federal government’s health-care exchange.
“The somersaults of statutory interpretation they have performed (‘penalty’ means tax, ‘further [Medicaid] payments to the State’ means only incremental Medicaid payments to the State, ‘established by the State’ means not established by the State) will be cited by litigants endlessly, to the confusion of honest jurisprudence,” Scalia wrote in his dissent. “And the cases will publish forever the discouraging truth that the Supreme Court of the United States favors some laws over others, and is prepared to do whatever it takes to uphold and assist its favorites.”

If Obama was a white guy the ACA would have been declared unconstitutional the first time around.
But some Supreme Court Justices are more concerned about their place in history than with keeping their oath to protect and defend the US Constitution.
They don't want the race pimps to label them as anti-black racists and they don't want the historical record to show they negated the legacy of America's first black president.

Roberts is blackmailed like Boehner and Mitch the Ballchinian.

I think the only sensible thing to do is to throw in the towel. I'm not voting anymore myself. Why bother?
Roberts reasoning this time totally contradicts his reasoning the last time. Last time, he said that it was not the courts responsibility to correct a law or negate a law that the people didn´t like it. It was the people´s responsibility to elect politicians to make those corrections. This time, he said just the opposite, that they (SCOTUS) have the responsibility to correct what the law says. Roberts is mental. If the next president is a Repub, and a court position comes open, he/she needs to nominate the replacement to be a new Chief Justice and make Roberts just another justice.
That doesn't fit as a "tag line" but it most definitely sums up the sad 'state of the union'. John Adams prophetically warned us ...
The SCOTUS is corrupted. The WH is corrupted. Congress is corrupted. The only solution is a Third Party which will take multiple elections and a country that looks like Detroit before it ever starts getting better again.
