The autopsy conducted on Freddie Gray helps the case of the six Baltimore police officers charged in the 25-year-olds death, a law professor tells The Daily Caller.
John Banzhaf, a law professor at George Washington University, also says that the autopsy, a review of which was published Tuesday by The Baltimore Sun, indicates that Baltimore city states attorney Marilyn Mosby downplayed the medical examiners findings when she publicly announced charges against the officers on May 1.
I think this autopsy report is very, very helpful to the defense in many ways, Banzhaf told The Daily Caller in a phone interview.
The report suggests that Gray may have contributed to his own death.

According to Banzhaf, the possibility that Gray stood up on his own before the injury presented a new and unexpected danger for police one that they could not have reasonably anticipated.
This finding that Gray probably caused harm to himself by standing up weakens the argument that any cops conduct was reckless or grossly negligent. This is not something that somebody could reasonably foresee.
Banzhaf ... also said that the autopsy indicates that it will be very, very hard for prosecutors to prove that the officers had the state of mind required to match the charges.

Rookie prosecutor ... veteran bigot!
Mike Nifong is looking for a partner. I know just the woman for him.
Hey Marilyn, Ha Ha!! I hope you enjoyed your 15 minutes.
Did she get her gag order on the defense?
The fact that opiates were found in Gray’s system won’t help the prosecution much either.
I think it is possible that Goodson could be found guilty of negligence for failing to properly secure Gray. None of the other officers have any responsibility.
The biggest problem is that Goodson is black, which totally destroys the narrative.
She probably over-charged them. It seems like there could be a lesser charge if they were supposed to bound him to the seat. Seems like there could also be a lawsuit on behalf of the family. Just sayin’.
Ms. Mosby, say hello to Mike Nifong.
The other guy in the van said that Freddie was thrashing about like crazy.
Prosecutorial abuse.
It is police policy that all arrestees must be buckled in during transport. The policy, updated just nine days before Freddie Gray was injured, states all passengers, regardless of age and location, shall be restrained by seat belts or other authorized restraining devices.
“Did she get her gag order on the defense?”
Didn’t you hear? She filed the gag order request in the wrong court! I kid you not.
My theory: Gray sustained the injury before he was arrested.
She’s going to get her fat ass sued off in civil court...
downplay = lie
It appears that we may be witnessing the demise of another great myth much to the dismay of the professional race hustlers.
That is why I think that Goodson could be found guilty of negligence.
I don’t see how any of the other officers that were charged are liable, certainly not for murder or conspiracy.
