Longtime Democratic strategist Bob Shrum said on MSNBC Friday that he “cannot imagine the horror that could’ve unfolded” if churchgoers were armed during the recent massacre in Charleston, South Carolina.
Nine people were slaughtered on Wednesday night after suspected gunman Dylann Roof allegedly opened fire in the historically black church. Only three people survived, including a grandmother who played dead and laid on top of her granddaughter to protect her.
Roof reportedly had time to reload his gun several times.
“I cannot imagine the horror that could’ve occurred if people were sitting around with concealed weapons, this thing started and you had a full-scale gunfight,” Shrum said Friday. “You might not even have three survivors.”
He went on to say that “this is going to be a big issue” in the 2016 Democratic primaries. Watch the video via MSNBC:

At my Church we have 3 armed ushers and 2 semi auto .223 in a safe with trained ex Marines. We practice and we will kill you dead. The Wahabbis will hit your churches . They will lock the doors and shoot you like pigs. You better be ready.

Armed churchgoers could have interrupted the shooter’s unopposed assault. The knowledge that someone might actually shoot back has, according to Lott’s studies, discouraged felonious mayhem from conception. Lott and Landed study on Multiple Victim Shootings shows that (liberalized/shall issue) CCW was the only factor that had any impact on reduction.

That’s the horror he’s thinking about - that people might learn that they can’t depend upon the statists for their own protection but they can rely upon themselves.
Exactly! In my church, we were strategically seated in order to have an over-all view of what was going on.
I only knew of one person who had a weapon .. and he was legally allowed to carry at all times because he was a working Detective. To me, it was comforting to always see him there.
It is a specific case of a generality that we should not be blaming the material world for matters that are within the realm of God and demons.
(Which also makes the War On Drugs, in its present form [rather than a War on Abuse], look foolish.)
