Charleston shooting could trigger Obama gun grab

“We don’t have all the facts, but we do know that, once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun,” Obama said.

“And at some point it’s going to be important for the American people to come to grips with it, and for us to be able to shift how we think about the issue of gun violence collectively,” he said.

In the midst of that statement, Obama appeared to acknowledge the political realities in Washington are not in his favor on this issue.

“I say that recognizing the politics in this town foreclose a lot of those avenues right now,” he said.

The only time commonsense comes in to play is when they wish to further infringe on guaranteed rights. Besides which, any time I hear the one word commonsense instead of the two word common sense, I immediately go negative. Kind of like whenver I hear “re-double our efforts”. WTH does that mean? That you never made an effort to begin with and now you’ll have to work 4X as hard? Anyway, thanks for the lesson to the lurkers. If you/we can get just one to think, that’s a good thing.
