A 22-year veteran of the NOPD was shot and killed after a suspect he was transporting was able to get out of his handcuffs and get a hold of a gun.
The incident occurred around 9 a.m. near the intersection of Elysian Fields and North Claiborne. After the shooting, the car crashed. Officer Daryle Holloway, 46, was rushed to the hospital where he died.
A manhunt is on for the suspect, 33-year-old Travis Bois, who is now wanted for murder.
”That prisoner was able to get his hands out of the handcuffs and was able to get a firearm and shot officer Darryl Holloway while he was driving,” said NOPD Chief Michael Harrison.
Harrison said Holloway leaves behind a family and that telling them of his death was “the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.”
Harrison said Bois was able to get out of the handcuffs and make his way from the back seat, through an opening in a steel cage that separates the front and back seats. That is when he shot Holloway.
Harrison said Holloway continued to try to gain control of the situation, before the vehicle crashed.

Why no national outrage over scum killing cops? why doesn’t 0 go on TV with his voice cracking from emotion to condemn the murders?
Is it because the murderers are mostly members of major victim groups?

Happened in savannah ga last year. Thug had gun hidden. Cop shot thug and vilified by local black populace.
I’m sure the prez has jumped right out of his golf cart to get on AF1 for a trip to NO to get in front of the cameras and decry black criminals shooting black officers.

Whether he resists arrest or not he’ll be shot. He’s a dead man walking. Louisiana cops generally DO NOT take cop killers into custody; and in the rare instances when they do, the suspects usually suffer some terrible accident shortly after their arrest.
Yep, the media and black “leaders” simply see the death of an “Uncle Tom” and nothing more.
Since the official report says nothing about him getting the cop’s gun, I’m leaning toward a gun being planted or the perp somehow snuck one into the car with him.
