“We trust Trump will not be the Republican nominee. We trust Trump will not be the Republican nominee.”

For someone not destined to be the party nominee, he sure is generating a lot of opposition media attention.

Just saying...

Republicans want to go along to get along.

Trump will shake things up and tell us the truth (at least his truth) and expose some of the crap we get from Republicans.

It will be very interesting and Kristol will make money off the discussions.

Trump should name names for his cabinet positions and compare their creds to the current clowns. Then, they could get out there and campaign with/for him. The same ole same ole politicos have got to go. They’re running the republic into the ground.

(I’m not a big fan of Donald but ANY outsider is superior the SCUMBAGS we have now)

Kristol and the other members of the MSM want Trump to run as a third party candidate, thus giving it to Hillary.

I hope he thinks of America first and doesn’t run as an independent. I like some of what he said.

People are forgetting the MANY things Ted has said that drove the media insane. He is not afraid to say these things, just like Trump.

But he is intellectually superior and doesn’t have the dozens of quotes against republican principals in the past that Trump does.

There are smart candidates, and dumb candidates. Right now, the Dims have dumb candidates. For example, I consider Hillary dumb. Obama was not dumb (just evil). The Republicans have both smart and dumb candidates. I don't believe dumb candidates will take votes away from smart candidates, only the dumb. Dumb people vote for dumber candidates. Ergo (as Kelly Bundy might say), Trump is no threat.

Well, according to Kristol, Trump seems to understand more about the American people and this election than any of the other Republican candidates. And he hopes some other candidate will adopt a little Trump understanding and plain talk.

Quite a compliment in a roundabout sort of way.

He didn’t say “any other” he said “It’s not clear most of the rest of the field does.” That isn’t the same thing, is it?

A little touch of Trump in the rhetoric, the attitude, the bearing of the other Republican candidates could go a long way toward making this election more like 1980 than 1992.

So which of the other candidates does that sentence exclude???

"Comments?"

Everyone knows Bill Kristol and The Weekly Standard are supportive of everything the Bush clan is offering.

Yeah, I just imagine that there are any number of the potential nominees who are crapping in their drawers and burning the midnight oil trying to figure out how to deal with Trump. If he does nothing more than force the rest to take positions, he will have performed an invaluable service.

, he sure is generating a lot of opposition media attention.

He should, he is a cheesy, media created celebrity, famous for being famous.

You tell us.

Lol, thanks for the concession.

Kristol wrote a column and established certain assumptions or beliefs he has about Trump as compared to ALL the other candidates. He established the assumptions one-by-on, then drew his conclusion that applied to all the other candidates.

Obviously, he did not exclude any of the other candidates from his assumptions or his conclusion. He did not even mention another candidate other than Rand Paul, and that did not exclude Paul from he assumptions or the conclusion.

LOL, you were afraid to say it directly, Trump is no threat because he’s dumb.

Even Bill Kristol recognizes how smart Trump is, and said so often in his column.
